1994 NSX with tasteful updates. I have owned this car since the summer of 2015 and it currently shows 71,852 original miles. I had the major service performed including new timing belt and water pump, spark plugs and automatic transmission service at 68,620 miles performed at Rizza Acura in Orland Park, IL. In addition, new 17” wheels and tires were put on at that time along with a fresh 4 wheel alignment. The oil has been changed every 3 months by a former NSX mechanic. I moved to the Nashville, TN area in 2016 and routine service has been completed at Gary Force Acura in Cool Springs, TN. I have traced the ownership records and have a history of the verified owners. All service records I have collected will come with the car. I have a clear title in hand. This NSX sold new from Baierl Acura based in Wexford, PA on January 2, 1994 where it stayed with its original owner until it was traded in on September 16, 1997. All service and ownership records I have been able to document will be provided to the new owner. This 1994 Acura NSX (#20 off the production line) finished in striking Formula Red with a Black leather interior! This color combination is 1 of only 11 made with the automatic transmission. For the year 1994, only 512 were produced and only 66 of all 1994s manufactured were automatics. If you’ve done research on the NSX, you know that a common failure is the Electronic Power Steering (EPS). This failure results in the loss of the power steering at low speed due to water intrusion into the rack unit. When it fails, you would notice a heavy feel to the steering below 15 mph and the EPS light coming on in the dash pod. I had this problem, but the guys at NSX EPS Repair removed and repaired the steering. Now the NSX EPS works perfectly and is actually featured in this YouTube video: https://youtu.be/Wga3_h2LpS8 In addition to repairing the EPS, I had them install new rear axles and the window regulators were removed and new nylon window guides were installed. Now the window go up and down as smooth and fast as they did when new. Considered by many to be the first true supercar/exotic from Japan, the Acura NSX has been coveted from its introduction... nearly 20-years ago. They were also extremely easy to use on a daily basis and, as a result, finding original preservation class examples has become increasingly difficult. In fact, to find a 1-owner example that hasn’t been modified is very unusual for these cars. 288 black on black examples out of 1,270 total cars were built for our market in 1992 model year. This example was built in August of 1991 and sold new on July 30th, 1992 by Acura of Mission Viejo, California. The current owner purchased it new. For the first 17-years, the car lived in the owner’s Orange County garage. Then, in 2009, he retired to the Palm Springs area and kept the car in a climate-controlled garage there. Due to age and health issues, he didn’t drive it very often. Unfortunately, the owner passed away in June of this year and the family has asked us to help find a new owner. Although he didn’t drive the car much, he did service it at his local dealer. Highlights include: Oil changes Brake fluid flushes Spark plugs O2 sensor Driver window regulator Repair Bose amplifier Upon receipt of this NSX, we decided to have Orange Coast Acura (our local Acura dealer) do a full inspection and major service to make sure everything was in proper working condition. This particular dealer has several on-staff mechanics who are experts with these models and are very well respected among the enthusiast community. Services performed include: Timing belt service Inspect tensioners and idlers Water pump All belts Thermostat Valve adjustment Throttle body, air intake, and plenum service/cleaning Air filter Clean cabin filter/mesh Oil service Spark plugs Brake fluid flush Coolant system flush Transmission oil service/flush New trunk lid shocks Repair clock Finally, they performed a complete top to bottom inspection and found this example to be in outstanding condition with no signs of damage, wear, or abuse. This inspection/service was nearly $10,000. It was completed on September 5th, 2018. (see pics of receipts). This NSX is in excellent condition and looks exactly how you would expect a low-mile preservation grade example to look. The paint is near perfect condition with hardly any signs of use. The metal panels are all original and verified with a paint meter (see pics). There is a very light superficial scratch almost on the underside of the driver side rocker and only visible if laying on the ground (see pic). The original wheels (chromed at the dealer when new) have minimal signs of age and no curb rashes. They are wearing near full tread Yokohama tires that are 10-years old but have no cracks. The brake pads have over 75% life remaining. All the glass is original, including the windshield. There are no cracks or chips. The exterior rubber and trim show no signs of age. The gaps as well as fit/finish are perfect. The interior looks equally as nice and fresh. There are hardly any signs of use. The supple leather seats show no cracks or tears. The carpet, headliner, and door panels look new. There are no cracks on the dash. All the gauges work properly. The A/C blows cold and the clock works. The radio does not power up. All the interior and exterior lights work. The whole interior still retains that “new-car” smell. The engine bay, front trunk, and chassis all look brand new. From a driving perspective, everything still feels extremely tight. It starts easily on the first try with no smoke. The throttle response is immediate and it easily pulls strong through all the gears. The transmission shifts smoothly with no grinding or slipping. The brakes have a nice initial bite with no fading or pulling. The steering box is one of the highlights of this car. Turn in is so precise it’s almost telepathic. It inspires confidence and gives the driver a wonderful connection to the road surface. This example would easily be home at any premier concours event or simply enjoying for fun weekend touring. California registration is paid to July of 2019 and it just passed California’s strict smog test. This NSX comes with the original spare tire, tool kit, jack, owner’s manual, extra keys, original Acura sales brochures, wheel locks, orig. touch up paint, front license plate bracket, branded hats/t-shirt, and factory car cover. **Note: VIN and other numbers withheld to protect against fraud.
