The first owner purchased the vehicle in Ohio and would maintain possession for nearly 10 years. Over this time the vehicle gained the largest portion of its mileage was registered to California and later New Hampshire. Eventually in 2012 the second owner took custody of the BMW while the car... was in New England using the car sparingly over the next five years. The vehicle's third owner was again a New Hampshire resident who took ownership in 2017 but would only have the retro-roadster for four months before the current owner purchased the vehicle. Remarkably just over 7400 original miles are currently displayed on the odometer. The silky smooth 4941cc 394hp MFI DOHC V8 runs excellent and pulls strong mated to a 6-speed manual transmission that shifts flawlessly. Finished in the iconic BMW color combination of Titanium Silver Metallic over a black leather interior both inside and out show minimal signs of wear. 2001 BMW Z8 roadster, serial number WBAEJ13401AH60545, Titanium Silver with all black, black power convertible top, 400hp 5.0 litre normally aspirated V8 engine, 6 speed manual gearbox, heated and electric seats, xenon headlamps, climate control, delivered new February 28, 2001 via Sandia BMW of Albuquerque, New Mexico, original owner's manuals and pouch, original coffee table production book, spare keys, factory hard top, hard top cover, Z8 car cover, Z8 battery tender, original tool roll, updated radio with original radio present, one enthusiast family owner from 2003 and 4,500 miles, impeccable condition throughout. The first owner drove the vehicle for just one year and 4,400 miles. In April of 2002, the car's second, enthusiast owner, took delivery. The CarFax shows consistent and detailed service performed exclusively at the selling dealer, Sandia BMW of Sana Fe, NM. Records show routine maintenance being performed as well as water pump replacement at 30k miles and clutch replacement at 40k miles. Upon his passing in 2013 the car then went to his daughter, in Greenwich, CT. Again, the CarFax shows regular servicing at BMW of Greenwich. Cosmetically, the car shows very well. The CarFax shows no record or any accident or body work. Our visual inspection reveals the same. There are several chips on the nose of the car, some scuffs along the bottom of the black lip on the front valence, and two small chips at the trunk lid. The rest of the paint is excellent with deep shine and no clear coat damage. The wheels are in excellent condition with no curb damage. The interior shows remarkably well. The seats show no to minimal wear. The carpets are in similar condition. The dash leather shows no shrinkage. There is only slight scuffing around the finish of the gearshift knob. The soft top appears to be original but very good condition. The headliner shows no staining. The exterior shows no tears or weak spots; just the typical 'sheen' to the fabric at folding points. The plastic rear window is clear and is 'as new'. The hard top is also as new. All vehicle accessories function as intended. Windows, door locks, folding top, seats, climate control, and stereo work as they should. The stereo is an aftermarket unit with BlueTooth and I Pod connection. The original radio is present with the car. Items not currently working as they should include a left rear tail lamp that blinks quickly and the interior rearview mirror shows delamination due to the auto-dimming fluid. Mechanically, the car is in excellent condition and it shows due to it's lifetime of good care. Recent service include an oil and filter change, air filter replacement, brake fluid change, and clutch fluid service. The trunk struts were also replaced at this time. The tires have just several thousand miles on them and are dated 2013. This car is ready for immediate use with no pending service needs. The driving experience is excellent. The car starts immediately and idles smoothly. The car accelerates strongly with gobs of torque. Steering is nicely weighted. Braking is strong and progressive. The suspension is firm but dampens nicely. In all, this is an exceptionally capable and comfortable GT car.
