A beautiful and rare 2016 Cadillac ELR I am the original owner of this amazing (and rare) car. It is in excellent condition, a very clean, stunning electric luxury coupe. It's a beautiful looking plug-in hybrid that gets attention and currently averages 100+ mpg. It has been driven gently, has low miles and still has a factory warranty. The electric motor has plenty of instant torque, and the on-board range extender provides hundreds of miles of additional capacity, so you get the benefits of an electric car with no range anxiety! Take long highway trips with no stops for recharging the battery; if you run out battery power, the car automatically generates its own electricity from the gas engine. The ELR was made for 2 years only: 2014 and 2016. Fewer than 3,000 ELRs were built. Of those, only a small percentage (less than 550) are the 2016 model. The 2016 is the preferred model since the 2014 had problems that were corrected in 2016. The problems with the 2014 relate to the feel of the brakes, the noise level of the gas engine when running, and the responsiveness of the CUE infotainment system. GM halted production for 2015 and corrected these issues with the 2016 model. For the 2016 model year Cadillac raised total system horsepower from its two electric motors and gasoline four-cylinder engine. Horsepower increased from 217 to 233, and peak torque increased from 295 lb-ft to 373 — reducing the zero-to-60 time by 1.5 seconds. The 2016 models featured revised torque-steer-mitigating strut technology with stiffer springs, stiffer control-arm bushings, and the addition of a damper rebound spring. The rear twist-beam axle received stiffer bushings for its Watts linkage and the adaptive suspension was retuned to match the increased stiffness and the recalibrated steering. Brakes were also upgraded. The optional performance package reduces the ELR’s electric-only driving range by about four miles, and includes summer-only performance tires, new 20-inch wheels, Brembo four-piston front brake calipers with 13.6-inch vented rotors, a sport steering wheel with a thicker rim, and unique steering and suspension revisions. The 2016 ELR included previously optional blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams, and lane-change alert as well as a 4G LTE onboard data connection with Wi-Fi hotspot capability. The 2016 model also features Cadillac's revised, wreathless crest badge and a revised front "grill." The engine management software was updated and the regenerative braking system reconfigured. The 2016 ELR delivers an all-electric range of 39 mi (63 km), up from 37 miles (60 km). This car is in excellent condition, and has never been smoked in. There are no issues or problems whatsoever. It's never been in an accident, and has a clean Carfax. Has all owners manuals and 2 keys. Lots of tread on the 20" summer performance tires. There's just one small defect: a small ding near the fuel door, but there's no paint missing, and it is hardly noticeable (see red circled area in photos).
