I have for sale a 1990 Chevrolet Beretta. This is the Indy 500 Pace Car edition. It needs some work, mainly new brake lines, battery, front struts and wiring for speakers. The transmission is a 5-speed manual, the car ran and drove great before it was parked, and has been periodically moved. Need to sell it since I have no use for it and don't want it to sit and go to waste. There's no rust as far as I've checked except for a spot under the rear driver fender, as shown in the picture. Would need to be hauled on a trailer or towed since brake lines are bad. Cash on pickup.

Up for auction is a rare 1990 Indy Pace Car with only 6100 original 1 owner miles. The 1990 Beretta Indy Pace Car GT coupe was a one year only model to commemorate the Beretta's moment in the spotlight as the 1990 Indianapolis 500 Pace Car. The Indy Pace Cars had larger engines (3.1 liter MPI) along with suspension performance upgrades and other one-off features and options. These cars were built in limited numbers. Only 1400 in yellow (the actual color of the pace car) and 6000 in Turquoise. Yellow being much rarer. This Pace car is said to be 1 of only 26 equipped with the 5 speed transmission, sunroof and digital dash pkg.And possibly only 1 of less than 3 to still be in existence today from what we have read. And with only 6100 original 1 owner miles it has to be the nicest in existence. This Indy Pace Car was given and delivered in the lobby of the GM Tech Center to a family member by General Motors World Headquarters here in Warren Michigan as a retirement gift for over 40 years of employment as the Director/Engineer of Special Projects at the GM Technical Center. He was head of development of the Pace Car projects from their inception in the 1950's. He stored the car in the basement of the Technical Center for many years after his retirement in the same company of many world famous GM cars from the iconic Harley Earl Y-Job to the Firebird III series cars.The Indy would only be taken out on special occasions such as certain GM events and parades. This car has never seen rain as shown in undercarriage photos. The car still bares it paper chassis tags and assembly markings from production. The red interior coating of the chrome exhaust tips (specific to the Indy pkg.) still bright and shiny. This Pace Car truly shows as new as seen in the listing pictures. It is completely original with the exception of a new 2019 Delco battery. This Indy is a wonderful affordable piece of GM history.With only 6100 original miles, the car drives like brand-new! This Indy Pace Car still has its new car smell. Not a scratch or dent on the vehicle. Has never sat outside. The paint quality is absolutely gorgeous. Included are the original title, keys, all the books and manuals, window sticker, sunroof bag, trunk net, cassette tape, plastic wallet key card and the original GM 1990 Indy Pace Car door and fender decals still in the plastic. This Beretta Indy Pace Car represents the late 80's era perfect from its bright yellow exterior paint to its grey tweed interior fabric with yellow accents and digital dash with on-board computer. It is a very sharp car and something you do not see everyday. Guaranteed to be the only one at car shows. The car draws alot of attention. It is hard to believe that it has been almost 30 years. It is sad to say goodbye to our beloved Indy. It has been like a family member all these years. We are sure the new owner will enjoy the car and show it continued love and care. 1996 Chevrolet Beretta Z-26 I purchased this new in 96, and it has been garaged from day one. Never driven in winter, has never seen salt. No accidents. Nice original survivor that has always been maintained. Recently serviced and gone over - had an ABS sensor repaired, mechanic said everything else looked good. Tires are original Eagles, but do not show any signs of dry rot. Everything works, a/c blows cold. Lower intake manifold gasket was replaced a couple of years ago (common problem with this motor). Also has the common "piston slap" upon cold start up...has done this since new. I had the stereo upgraded in the late 90s - still sounds good, but can be changed back to original if desired in the future.System includes an Alpine 1.5 DIN direct fit CD player, Alpine signal processor with time correction, Boston Acoustics Pro Series drivers (fronts mounted in customized kick panels), 3 10" JL subwoofers, and Rockford Fosgate and PPI amplifiers. The trunk and door panels have had Dynomat installed to quell vibration and noise. Interior is in great shape. Door panels and dash are in excellent condition, no warpage. Known issues:The rear driver's quarter panel was scratched and repainted 20 years ago. That panel has sustained 2 scratches that have been touched up (see last 2 photos). Looks fine from a few feet away, but would want to refinish the panel if you want the car to be perfect.Driver's side door check broke - the door swings freely without stops. Just requires care when getting in and out.ABS light occasionally still comes on. Turning off/restarting the car resets it and it stays off. Does not affect drivability in any way.Minor stone chips and typical wear and tear. No other known issues, but selling as is, no warranty. Thanks for looking!
