Vehicle Description Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that...  I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the nearly 70 photos carefully and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2000 Mercury Villager. The Mercury Villager may be just about the best value out there in a used mini-van because, under the Mercury badging, this is a Nissan Quest. I would rate the exterior of this Villager to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. It is finished in Toreador Red over Gray with matching Gray interior, which is a good color combination. The red finish shines nicely and looks smooth all around. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific van, the worst I can say is that there is some visible rust through on the rockers. Aside from that, she is in good condition for an older van. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the door handles are still present and working properly (which is rare for these vans at this age). All of the trim and cladding is present and shows well. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in nice rubber with average tread all around. Please take the time to check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this Villager came in. I would rate the interior of this Villager to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean. The carpets show well for their age and are full looking throughout the interior. The seats are clean, comfortable and show virtually no wear. All of the arm rests are even intact. The power windows, locks and mirrors all work properly. The audio system is original and sounds good through the factory speakers. The climate control system also appears to be working properly. It is too cold outside to confirm that the air conditioner is cooling effectively but the heater works well. With dual sliding rear doors, rear access is easy. Both sets of rear seats fold flat or can be easily removed for additional cargo capacity. Again, please take your time and check out each of the photos to see how clean this van came in. Mechanically, this Villager appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 3.3L V6 starts easily but runs with a mis. I know this van didn't misfire when I got it, but I let it sit around while I waited on the title...and then the misfire started. My guess would be it probably needs new plugs and wires or something ignition related. I move about 40 cars per month with a staff of me and one other, so I don't have the time to mess with it. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. These are great driving vans that don't get nearly enough respect. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with zero issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints.
