Vehicle Description Pontiac brought back the GTO in the 2000s to create an instant classic. That's especially true with this 2005 example that has a full-blackout appearance, LS2 V8 power, and a six-speed stick-shift. Sleekly rounded styling, factory ground effects body kit, full-width rear spoiler, and the factory 17-inch alloys – the last GTO was quite... a sporty machine. The company made an unprecedented move to reach over to Australia to bring back the best four-person sports car in the GM family. It was such a good idea, that this would be the base for the Camaro a few years later. But in 2005 the GTO's revival was a quiet one, with less than 12,000 cars brought over for the year. This is a special year (more on that in a moment) so it's an instant classic. That's especially true in the factory-correct Black Metallic paint. And with Pontiac gone from our landscape, it's getting tougher and tougher to find late-model muscle with the twin grille. The interior is one of the best arguments ever for reaching across the world for a new GM product. Holden had far superior materials than much of the rest of the Pontiac lineup, and in fact, this GTO helped show the way to provide a true mix of luxury and performance. That means power front seats that are finished in leather and have the bolstering to be all-day comfortable. You'll love the detail work, like how the red dials have an unmistakably performance-oriented feel within the aggressively dark interior.
