No reserve!Selling a 1991 Porsche 944 S2 convertible as a project car. This is the last year for this model with only 510 units produced for the U.S. Ideal for someone who wants to properly restore or build as a track car. Currently, it's sitting on its original D90 Wheels with roller tires. It has ~150k miles on the chassis. All original Black paint and Light Gray interior - no rust - usual rock chips, parking lot dings, paint wear. Mostly garage kept - never raced. Daughter drove for a few years then was to be a restoration project. I was injured so can't do the project - my loss is your gain. There is lots of room between this price and what a restored 944S2 can bring. This last year model stands out as 1991 was the year before the 968 and the coupes got the 968 rear wing vice the usual 944 flip tail. AC compressor needs replaced but system has not been opened and has not been contaminated by outside air. No major cracks on the dashboard (see pic). No rips in the seats (see pics) though drivers seat shows wear as you would expect. Recent PA inspection, new battery, new shifter cover, new/rebuilt water pump and belts (not installed) plus other minor parts and a few specialty tools, Tires approx. 60%, brakes are good and stop straight, accelerates, shifts, handles very well - as you would expect.

HISTORY OF THE PORSCHE 944The Porsche 944 was introduced to the market in 1982 and was based on Porsche’s successful 924 platform which featured a front engine and rear wheel drive layout. Porsche mounted the transaxle in the rear, providing a near perfect 50/50 weight distribution which made 944 one of the best handling cars of its era. The four cylinder engine featured revolutionary counter rotating balance shafts that gave the engine the smoothness of a six cylinder. 1989 saw the introduction of the 944 S2 powered by an enhanced 3.0 liter 16-valve engine with dual overhead camshafts that produced over 200hp. 0-60 time was under 7 seconds and top speed was in excess of 150mph.
