2003 Saab 9-5 5sp Aero Kombi (Wagon) Merlot body on Black/Dark Gray interior Miles: 214,409 1 of 164 Manual trans aero wagons produced in 2003 1 of only 11 in Merlot 3 owner car. First owner bought post-dealer demo and owned for two years. Next owner from there til 2009, and put on combined 72,000 miles, and myself ever since. Car is located in Greenwood (two blocks south of Indianapolis) Indiana, 46142. It is available for inspection and test drives on weekday evenings after about 5:30, or the weekend. Can meet at exit of I-65 and exit 99 (Food, Fuel and Lodging there). Photos taken day before listing and are honest and current to the cars condition. The short synopsis, with detailed breakdown below. This is a rare 5 speed manual Aero Kombi wagon in an even rarer color. It is still super reliable and snappy for a car of its mileage. It is a two owner car, myself for the last 150K plus. I did oil changes at my own shop using only Mobil1 5w30 Synthetic its entire life, at 5,000 mile intervals. I did not turn over oil change duties until I closed my shop late 2017, which I believe it only has had one or two since then (also on time w the above oil). The car presents well and looks great from 20 feet. But up close shows the signs of a 200,000 mile car. The same can be said with the interior and mechanical aspects. Things such as wear to the drivers seat, some rust, paint wear, dings, scratches, chips, creaks, leaks, groans, rattles, and squeaks of a car with its mileage should be expected. If you want a near perfect, like new vehicle…This isn’t your car. This car was my daily driver until august of 2018 when a brake issue parked it. In march of this year, the brakes were fixed…and in April, I found another Saab manual kombi locally and couldn’t pass it up. 3 weeks ago I had no plans to sell this. But I cannot keep them both. Lots of life left in this car. Original Options and details per window sticker: (See window sticker picture for full details) - 2.3 Litre High Output Turbo (HOT) Engine, 250hp -5 speed manual transmission -Electronic Stability Program -Traction Control System -Front Wheel Drive -4-Way ABS Disc Brakes -Power Assist rack and pinion steering -Multilink independent Rear Suspension The Good- -Always starts, runs strong, fast, quiet and reliably in all weather. -ONLY Mobil1 Synthetic oil and premium gas its entire life, and always at 5,000 miles. -Great exhaust. Got a replacement mid-pipe a few years back. Cool genuine SAAB exhaust tip. -Despite paint issues (see faults), It is 100% original paint. I paint cars for a living, and if it had paintwork, I’d have found it upon purchase at 70K miles. I have never repainted anything on this car, and as such, can confirm a 100% accident free life. - All four corners got new calipers, new rotors, new pads, plus front hoses, a rebuilt ABS Module and used ABS Control Unit Block, and master cylinder reservoir cap within last 1,000 miles. - New serpentine belt and pulley less than 5,000 miles ago - Got four new Dunlop tires about 15,000 miles ago, and then one replaced due to sidewall damage at mileage 206,683. -New rear shocks at 191,000 -Great interior everywhere but the left side of drivers seat and drivers floormat. -Radio/Tape/CD all work great, but Sub and a dash speaker were removed many years ago when they blew. -Has tow setup! When I bought this car I was able to contact the original owner, who had it installed. He said he used it once and decided his truck was better suited for towing duties, and he never used it again. I have never used it, not even once. But its there! Wiring, and pieces are under cargo lid -Power Sunroof works as designed: Slides back into the roof, or pop up at rear. -Still has desirable lower from aero lip. -20% tint all around (none on windshield of course) -Custom painted OEM 17” Saab rims from another model in House of Kolor Galaxy Gray and satin finish. -Two keys, with remote. Battery dead in one. -Original owners manual AND window sticker! The Faults- -Paint clearcoat began peeling from hood and roof about two years ago. -Rust in the ‘dog legs’, see pictures. This is the area down low, in front of the rear wheels before the rear doors. Some rust forming over left wheel arch. Otherwise none to speak of. -AC blows cool, but wont blow on high anymore. As a result of this weak fan speed, it doesn’t feel like the A/C is really working. It was still working last summer, so I have to think the system is still good but the fan speed is the only problem. But sadly, I cant guarantee that and as such must state AC is not functioning. -Drivers seat has a rip in the left side bolster, and the seat heater doesn’t work anymore. The passenger and rear seat warmers still work. -Shift knob leather came off and the ball came loose. --Pixels in the DIN display are out. Most of the display can still be read and understood. Those can be refurbished through a company online. -CEL (Check Engine Light) is on. Ive had it cleared and services done, and it comes back. Once the car passed 200K, I stopped fighting it. So its on most of the time. Sometimes it clears for a couple days. -at some point, I had a fuel pump installed. Ever since, The gas gauge acts whacky when the tank is full. It spikes up to F, then drops off to E. Usually by the time it gets down to about ¾ tank, it acts correctly. -This one stinks: The DAY I decided to sell it and take the pics you see, The Airbag light came on. I’d NEVER seen this the entire life of the car. It then went out. Then came on again. Then went out. Who knows. It may never come back on. It isn’t dangerous. Just means the airbag is inactive during those times it is illuminated. -Passenger mirror broken. -Reverse sensors throw a fault when you start the car. They have never worked the entire life of the car in my ownership. I have heard it’s incredibly easy and inexpensive to fix. Yet, For some reason I never did.

Saab 9.5 2001 wagon. Runs good, smooth and fast with strong turbo, but has issues. Car smokes when started. Has been doing it for the 5 years that I have had the car and has not gotten worse. Air and heater work but the blower is out. Suspension needs work because tires wear uneven. Pixels missing in radio. Check engine light is on. All electric windows work but drivers side feels like it is out of the lining. . Right front fender was chewed by a dog hunting for a squirrel.

YS3EH49G533034369 is a very comfortable vehicle that is fun to drive. It is a quiet drive and handles very well. I really enjoy the car when it works correctly. Has a huge trunk.
