Vehicle Description 2009 SAAB 97X AERO 6.0l LS2 ENGINE SAME ENGINE AS IN A TRAIL BLAZER SS At 390 horsepower this is the most powerful SAAB ever produced and with only 112 built for the 2009 model year,the last year of production, it is also one of the rarest. In 2000 when General Motors purchased SAAB the idea was to add a prestigious European brand to it's lineup. The 97X AERO was built as a more luxurious version of the as the... Chevrolet TrailBlazer SS. Using the same LS2 engine which is also used in the Corvette. We recently took it to our local Cars & Coffee event and the most commonly asked question was, Who installed the LS2?The answer. The SAAB factory. This would be a great car to hold on to, make some tweaks to the engine and see how much power you could get out of it. But we gave up that aspect of the business long ago. Its a blast to drive, as they say "cubic inches, there is no substitute!". It is truly a sleeper, no badges announce what is under the hood. Only the AERO emblem on the rear hatch for those in the know and the 20" wheels are the only hints. As a well maintained vehicle, after inspection we only gave it an oil service and replaced all four tires. They were more aged than worn. We have also replaced the rear air spring suspension bags. After a couple of days of non use they would begin to drop. The only modification is the addition of a Pioneer large screen entertainment/navigation unit. It has NAVIGATION, BLUETOOTH PHONE AND AUDIO, HD RADIO, AV AND AUXILIARY INPUTS, BACKUP CAMERA and PANDORA. It is a CARFAX one owner vehicle with 14 service records on their report.
