1996 Suzuki X-90. 1.6L 95hp, 16valve, automatic with overdrive, 4WD, T-top, AC, cruise control, electric windows,and door locks, remote entry, security system. No rust, no body damage. Only made in 1996, 1997 and 1998. Fun little two door cruiser.

I purchased this dependable 1997 Suzuki X-90 4X4 brand new in 1997. I am the only owner (1 owner). The mileage is "road miles." I drove it for 7 years to Greensboro, NC & home; 125-mile round trip (work). Not once in those 7 years did the vehicle break down (dependable). Through the years, I have had an alternator, water pump, AC compressor, timing belts & all belts changed out. Just changed out the transmission with a used transmission, approximately 100,000 miles on it along with a new clutch kit installed. The original transmission did not fail, changed out as preventive maintenance. As the pictures show, I had a 2.5” lift system installed (sets just high enough off the ground to be safe). When driving, you feel the extra height & that’s a nice feeling since this is a small vehicle. You’re right up there with the height of regular SUV’s. As the pictures depict, I had the interior customized (custom upholstery). New stereo system (w/remote) with CD & MP3 USB. The car interior originally came in the Malibu Barbie cloth upholstery which was in my opinion very cheap & tacky. Looked like Greyhound upholstered bench seats. The arm rest lifts out of the way if you don't want to use it. Has storage in it. The security system with the remote control still works. The alarm system will sometimes disengage & you have to reprogram it @ that time-that can be tricky (just so you know). Also, notice that on the front & rear bumpers there is black skid marks. My first winter while driving to work, I got a false since of security with the four-wheel drive while in deep snow and traveling over an icy overpass. I tagged the front & rear bumper & kept getting it down the road. No big deal. I have the matched spray paint to include with the purchase. Also notice the pictures of the undercarriage. In my driving area the roads are treated with brine. A mixture of salt, water & sand. It is a 5-speed manual; shifts nicely with newly installed transmission. The four-wheel drive part works great. This car will go in the snow & off road. Off road w/T-tops off is fun. Take if for a test drive with the T-tops out. Still have the T-top covers in the trunk (nice size clean trunk). It is a head-turner to say the least (heads will turn & jealous words spoken). I always get asked questions about it when I take it for a spin. A young adults' dream car. Would love to keep it, but don’t drive it enough to keep the battery charged. A very rare gem. These cars were only made for 3 years, 1996 through 1998. Still drive it to work sometimes so it doesn't sit. Not good for vehicles to sit. They need to be driven to keep them in good working order. I just detailed the vehicle myself which I have done through the years. The pictures show a shiny & waxed vehicle. However, the vehicle is 22-years-old. The paint is faded w/some hail damage. No cracked paint from the hail damage. When waxed, the vehicle will shine like new money for a while & depending if it is garaged kept. I did not garage-keep the vehicle. I have the CARFAX REPORT. Annual average mileage is 10,070; low mileage. In my opinion, I would not be scared of the 226,000 miles on the car. Oil & filter changed every 3000 to 5000 miles. It runs like a scolded dog.

THE T TOPS ARE IN GREAT SHAPE, HOWEVER THE DRIVERS T TOP HAS A PLASTIC COVER THAT IS IN TRUNK(I BELIEVE IT MAY NEED SOME CLIPS TO GO BACK ON..BUT NOT SURE..) DRIVERS SIDE CARPET HAS SOME WEAR, BUT NOT NOTICEABLE WITH FLOOR MAT. THE SEAT BOTTOMS HAVE THE USUAL RIPS IN SEAMS, AS SEEN IN PICTURES..AND CAN BE REPAIRED STILL, BUT AS YOU CAN SEE, IT ALREADY HAS NICE CAR SEAT COVERS ON IT. THE SEATBELTS WORK, HOWEVER THE PLASTIC BUTTONS ARE WORN AS PER PICS... THE ODOMETER WORKS PERFECTLY, HOWEVER, THE SPEEDOMETER HAS A MIND OF ITS OWN AND WORKS INTERMITTENTLY, AS EVIDENCED BY PICS.THE HOOD LATCH CABLE IS BUSTED, BUT IS OPERABLE WITH A CORD ON LATCH ACCESSIBLE THRU GRILL, WITH NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER. Very rare and very clean 1998 Suzuki X-90. Just 477 were sold in the U.S. in 98, and just 7,205 total were sold in the U.S. during their 3 year run. Just the 98 model year featured black vinyl seats as opposed to the teal/purple cloth or optional leather found in 96 and 97. This car drives extremely well, and has proven itself very dependable in the 12,000+ miles I've added in the past 2 years. Brand new U.S. mags 5 slot wheels and over sized Yokohama Geolandar tires were installed august of 2018. A new Bosal cat-back exhaust was also installed around the same time. New Alpine CD/BT receiver, 2 Rockford Fosgate speakers, and Rockford Fosgate low profile powered subwoofer were installed November 2017. This car does not leak at all; no water in, and no oil out. The auto freewheel hubs and 4x4 transfer case work perfectly. Recent professional window tinting on the tops, sides, and rear window. The 2nd gear synchro is starting to get a little tired, and occasionally grinds when cold. Once warmed up, all shifts are smooth and predictable. The headlights are a little foggy, and the it could obviously use a respray. The exterior shows all the signs of a life spent in the sunshine. There are a couple of small screw holes in some of the interior plastics from a previous owner, but overall the interior is exceedingly clean for a 20+ year old vehicle, with absolutely no cracks in the dashboard or console plastics. Everything works apart from the rear window defog/defrost. The original owners manual, spare tire, t-top storage bags, jack, and tire iron, are all present and in near perfect shape. The original radio and alloy wheels with good tires are also included with the sale. I believe this to be one of the lowest mileage, and most nicely optioned X-90's you're likely to find anywhere. Used but never abused, and 100% rust free. Happy to answer any and all questions about the car. The odometer currently reads just shy of 72000 miles, but it gets driven fairly regularly. Just passed CA smog and registered till 2020.
