This pickup is in excellent condition and is ready to be ones daily driver. I am only selling because I have found the Xtra-cab Toyota that I have been in search of. I just don't need three vehicles, so this one has to go. I would rather a truck like this be driven and not set and waste away. All maintenance has been completed on this truck. The most recent maintenance (less than 100 miles ago) included a front and rear brake job, new Michelin tires, and fluids changed. At 160,000, all maintenance was completed for this interval including timing chain, valve adjustment, and clutch. This truck is mechanically sound and needs nothing. this truck could easily make it across the country. It runs and drives just like it should. Like all Toyota's with the 22re, it has a little valve noise when it is first started and warming up in high idle mode (this is normal). After this, at driving speeds you have to check to make sure the truck is still running (it is very quiet). At the next service interval, it could probably use some shocks, but i don't see it needing anything for a while. Interior is in excellent shape, carpet is original and very clean. Seat is in good condition other than the tear on the drivers side. The dash does have cracks in it, like most Toyota's this year. Headliner is in good condition. All glass is OEM toyota, even the back slider. I get compliments on this truck everyday, its definitely a head turner. This is a good solid western truck, and is rust free. The paint is very shiny and feels like glass! I did recently have the tailpipe replaced because the tip rusty. This truck does a have a few dents here and there and quite a few dents on the inside of the bed. The previous owner used this truck to work in his garden, thats where the dents on the inside of the bed come from. There is a dent under the passenger side tail-light that should be noted. There are also a few paint chips that are pictured. The top of the cab does have base coat faded, it has been waxed and does not flake or continue to fade. I keep the truck in my garage. You will not have to invest any money into this truck, it is ready to drive and everything works properly, however this truck is used so it is being sold AS IS with NO WARRANTY. $500.00 deposit is required within 24hrs of the auction ending, truck must be paid for in full within 7 days. HARD TO FIND YEAR and MODELRuns & drives, but needs master brake cylinder & brake lines READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION We have owned this truck for about 15 years or more. (As memory serves). My husband was a life career mechanic; whenever anything needed fixing - we bought the parts and he fixed it. We bought the truck from one of his customers, after he had already done work to it over the years. I loved this truck - it was always so dependable and durable. When I drove it - I constantly had people wanting to buy it - at stop lights and gas stations. As I’ve seen lately - this model truck won one of the competions on Truck Night TV show. I also saw it on Mountain Men - changed into a wood burning fuel truck for their rough terrain too. I also learned that these trucks are highly sought after for the rough terrains in Hawaii, South America , and maybe even other countries too because of their durability. The other cool feature is the 4 Wheel Drive, it is a manual lockout system (need to turn and lock it on from hub of each tire - not a button on inside. If you keep reading, you will see that value in the truck is easily earned in Transmission replacement only a few months before we stopped driving it. It was retired from every day use about 6-7 years ago, when economy fell. We kept it up and drove it occasionally until summer 2015. We discovered a very small rust hole in the frame, in front of back wheel - suspecting it was due to rust hole in bed and water leaking down, (see pic)...and bought another truck same year. The intentions were to use this one for parts for the other truck. As we discovered, it was becoming so hard to find parts for this model....money not so much the issue as finding them at all. In order to drive it - what needs to be fixed that we know:1) Master cylinder for brakes & maybe new brake lines. (Master taken out for other truck)2) Speedometer cable; dash cluster was switched for the speedometer cable to other truck. 3) pump air in passenger rear tire _ developed slow leak from sitting. Which I will have pumped with air when you come to take it away (on tow dolly or tow truck). Other items to note:Needs battery from sittingRust hole in frame - need weldingBack springs are brokenMuffler system will need to be replaced or missing a pipe?Emergency brake - never worked since we had it, never replaced cable - we just put it in gear when parking. Driver side locks, but only opens from inside Driver Door Lock Cylinder (but plastic clip broke) - very last item working on.then retired it. didn't finishNew radiatorNew water pumpNew clutch THE HARDEST ONE for us to find at the time - TRANSMISSION- cost me about $1000 for parts alone - through a junkyard even! DONE SUMMER 2015 - it probably had maybe 50-100 miles put on it, if that. The hardest reason for me to let go of the truck. Me & my husband are 2 of the 3 owners on record. It has a 22-RE motor - 4 cylinder - runs great 5 speed manual transmission - old school stick shift 4 wheel drive - manual lock-out system - highly sought after feature!Hook in front end for pullingReese Hitch & Electrical hook up But the paint is getting sun damaged and body rusting away. The other truck we bought is an occasional driver now and doesn’t need much work. We don't need to fix this truck and drive it.
