This is a clean, well taken care of 1993 Collectors Edition Cabriolet - the last year of this body style. It sold new for $24,300 in 1993. Odometer shows 128,900 miles and is consistent with the CARFAX report. The paint is original with a few scratches, chips and touched up spots but has no dents dings or rust. The leather interior is in good condition with no rips or tears. The car has a recently replaced top with Haartz cloth, new tires and wheels, new brakes, new axle, new a/c compressor and drier, new radiator, new battery, fuel pump, water pump, oil pressure and water temperature sensors. Everything works on the car and the a/c is ice cold. The transmission shifts smoothly and the engine runs great. I also did the timing belt service and it has a fresh oil and filter change. Drive this car anywhere without worry. I try to represent all of my cars as honestly as possible. If you have any questions my name is Mark and my number is 239-292-2370.Here are several recent testimonials: Erik W. “I purchased a 1989 Cabriolet from Mark for my wife, and we couldn’t be happier with our decision. Mark makes the used car buying experience very easy. He is only a phone call or text away if you have any questions about the vehicle or the process of purchasing a vehicle. It’s tough buying a car online, sight unseen, but Mark answered every single question I had honestly. It’s good to know how much pride he takes in working on these vehicles and that there are still trustworthy people to buy used cars from. Thanks Mark”. Parker K. "Buying the Cabriolet from Mark was the smartest decision I've ever made when it comes to cars. Mark stands out from others due to his quick responses, readiness to help, and knowledge about the cars he works on. The car arrived and was even nicer than I expected! He's very passionate about these cars, and he's a wealth of knowledge. I would highly recommend him!" Reid C. “It's only been two weeks, but I am very happy with the Cabriolet which I bought for my wife. It had only 40,000 miles (Carfaxed) despite being a 1988, and the interior especially is immaculate. Best of all, Mark has been a great communicator. Any questions I have, he responds promptly. He doesn't just make the sale and then hide with his money. I know I can count on him regarding any questions I have today or six months from now.” Kevin F. “I have been restoring old Volkswagens to original condition as a hobby for over forty years and have bought cars from many people. I take pride in making sure the cars are right when I am finished with them. I wanted to buy a water cooled Volkswagen that I could just drive and enjoy. The 1993 Volkswagen Cabriolet that I bought from Mark is a wonderful car and it is exactly what he described to me. I have to say that after all these years he is on my gold list of respectable people. These days when so many people are scamming others it is nice to know one who can be trusted and is very honest. Mark made my purchase a pleasure and for the first time I was able to buy a car without any worries!” And this guy... Mark C. “I recently bought a 1993 Cabriolet from Mark, he completely went through the car for a friend, but fortunately for me I was able to purchase the car. I had it shipped up from Florida to my home in Michigan and a day later I left for California. The car ran like a champ, with not one issue... it ran strong the whole way. Mark will answer all and every question you may have, (some not even pertaining to the car). God knows I drove him nuts... I’m sure he wont forget this Michigander for quite some time. Thanks Mark, you’re the best!”

Back to the Past in this 1992 VW Cabriolet MK1 !!! Super original unmolested VW Cabriolet in a condition you just don't find them any longer... California Car all it's Life, Clean Carfax and Autocheck. All Bodypanels are original and the car was never hit... and is... completely rust free !!! This little Cabriolet fires right up, runs and drives without any issues. I just had it out yesterday (9/15/2018) on a 40 Mile Road trip on Highway 2 and Tujunga Canyon to shoot the pictures... It is a blast to drive and can be driven anywhere. The Transmission is a 5 Speed Stick (Yes, it's a stick... You for sure want no Auto on a Rabbit Cabriolet) that shifts perfectly through all 5 Gears. Clutch is perfect, Brakes are perfect... Car just turned 128kmiles yesterday... This Mark one Cabriolet is as good as it gets, but it is not a Museum Car... So some things that i want to mention... I'm pretty sure the car was delivered with light colored cloth interior and an off white Cabriolet top. At one point in the past the interior was most likely changed / reupholstered to the Black Interior you see...The convertible top is vinyl and might even be the original one. it shows it's age and is patched on top of the rear window. It has no major tears, keeps the rain outside (Talking about Car wash, since it not really rains here LOL) and opens and closes fine. It was dyed at one point from an off white color to the black style you see... It opens and closes without any issues. The Headliner is off white and in very good shape. I was planning to change the top into a black cloth cover, but decided to sell it like it is with my discounted starting price, so the next owner can decide what color and material he or she goes...Car has chromed American Racing Wheels that look really cool with the car. I do not have the factory wheels. The Tires are older and show some cracking, so a replacement would be recommended.I do have the books for the car, but no Maintenance history, so i do not know the last time when the timing belt was changedThe Paint shows really good with no major Dents, Dings or Scratches. You'll find some Paint chipping on front and rear bumper (very good to see in the pictures) and some stone chips. Other than that you will get a more than decent little European Convertible in a condition you haven't seen in years !!! Usually these Cabriolets were really used and abused. I can show the car to interested parties with appointment, PM me and i will call you and we make something out... Please Please Please... Have your Finances straightened out and your wife asked before you put you bid in... And keep your Minors away from your Computer... If it comes to a winning bid, it is not the right of the first refusal, so please please please don't waste my time and yours. You can inspect the car anytime BEFORE the auction ends... This car is located in Sherman Oaks, CA 91423 and if desired i can arrange the domestic or overseas Shipping...

1993 Volkswagen Cabriolet 1.8 Liter - Automatic Transmission The Cabriolet has 74,000 original miles, NO RUST, and was last registered in Pennsylvania in 1999. I bought it in 2012 on eBay and I’ve been working on the Cabriolet little by little ever since. It’s about 95% + done. I’ve driven the Cabriolet several times both on the Highway and in the City and it is Mechanically a Great Running Car. I have been German Car Guy most of my life and was an Aircraft Mechanic for over 15 years. I love and respect German cars and German engineering and I try and do everything to Exacting Factory Standards. I only use the Best Quality OEM Parts and Fluids when available. Here’s is what I have done: Complete Cylinder Head Rework to include New Lifters and Green OEM German Valve Seals. New Head Gasket Kit. New Bosch OEM Injectors and Injector O-Rings. New Fuel Tank. New In Tank Fuel Pump and Sending Unit. New Bosch OEM Fuel Pump. New Bosch OEM Fuel Pressure Regulator. New Electrical Relays. Rebuilt Alternator and New Pulley. New Tires. New Driver’s Side Headlight. New Passenger Side Axle. Removed Oil Pan and Cleaned Oil Pump Pick-Up Tube Screen. New Transmission Filter Screen and Synthetic Transmission Fluid. Here is what is still needs to be done: The instrument Cluster Speedometer is intermittent and Tachometer does not work. The Fuel Level/Fuel Gauge does not work. I have removed the Bezel and have removed everything to needed remove the cluster. I am including a donor Instrument Cluster from a manual shift car for parts needed to rebuild it. The driver’s Door Power Window Motor needs to be replaced. I would get a Front End Alignment to preserve the New Tires. Install the Power Steering Pump Drive Belt. Rabbit Golf Jetta Cabriolet Cabrio Dasher Fox Vanagan Eurovan Polo Passatt Syncro Convertible On Nov-03-18 at 07:04:28 PDT, seller added the following information: The Cabriolet is for sale locally as well as up for auction on eBay. I do not know why eBay would only let me list the Cabriolet as Salvage.
