Here is a very nice 1990 VW Westfalia camper. I have had this vehicle for a few months, but just have nowhere to store it. It runs great. I had a friend, who is a VW mechanic, check it out and he found no problems with it that were unseen by me. He told me that at times the automatic transmission appeared to hang in second or third gear without moving up to third.or fourth. Not sure which one. The transmission was replaced last year with one from a 1991 model and he said an adjustment may have to be made. I will say that it runs app 3000 rpm at 50 mph without whining. . Engine wise, it runs great. The AC will need some attention. There is one small tear app 15" long in the camper top that was covered up with tape. The awning is fine. I have not tested the fridge, stove, or sink, but they all look to be in very good condition. The upholstery is still in very nice condition and the power windows still work. I recently had the inside and outside detailed. There is a receipt for over $600.00 of brake work that was done on the vehicle last year. All the lights work fine. The paint is original although some small areas were painted over by an amateur. This is by no means a rust bucket. Any rust can be sanded off easily with steel wool. I have tried to mention everything that I can think of that might be wrong. I do not want to try to tell everyone that ii is perfect and then have someone disappointed. I am relisting this vehicle with this information Bought this vehicle the day it was traded in so I never met the previous owners. Only know what the dealership told me. Miles do not match up to odometer reading. Possibly from an engine rebuild. I do not know. Engine runs great. Thought there was a transmission problem. Took it to a different mechanic today. He drove it and stated it was fine. As I mentioned before it runs app 3000 rpm at 50 mph. There is an app 15" tear in canvas roof covered over with tape. Have not tested all the appliances. They appear to be in good shape. Had the vehicle detailed so it is clean. Carpet is clean, but needs replacing. Glass looks good. All original. Does have some dings and has had some amateur body work done. Awning is fine. How far will it drive? I do not know. I drive all around town without any worries. Just go nowhere far. Electric windows work fine. AC need attention. I will not accept bids from anyone with less than 10 +FB unless you contact me first. No overseas bidders.
