My car has no paintwork, no accidents, no door dings and no road rash on the wheels. I am the second owner and it was a tough find when I was searching. I am a major car nut and was looking for a 1 owner car which for some reason with R8’s is very hard to find they all seem to have 4 or 5 owners. My car was previously owned by a gentleman who passed away in his 90’s and it was part of his beautiful fleet of 15 vehicles. Some others in the estate were a Ferrari, a late model Rolls Royce, a Maserati, a Range Rover and more. The car originally resided in New Mexico and now resides in Long Island, NY where I live. First let me say this car drives amazing, the R tronic feels great, the interior smells good, it looks incredible and overall the car just feels amazing !!! I have had all services done by my local Audi dealer, please review the car fax and I am sure it will show this car from the original owner to myself has had more oil changes and Brake fluid changes than cars 5 times it’s age. If you researched the R8 you will know one of the MAJOR issues are the leaking shocks and if needed it is a $9k to $10k repair. My car recently had all 4 shocks replaced by my local Audi dealership less than a few hundred miles ago and it was covered under my extended warranty mentioned below. This should provide a huge relief to the next owner knowing this was done. The windows are tinted 35%, I did not have the engine rear window done because I didn’t want the heat to distort it. The condition of my car is really great, the interior is in beautiful condition, there are no issues and if there I would just take a trip to the local dealer for them to review it as I have the warranty. Also my car has the factory aux input so you can plug your phone in to play music, it comes with all 4 keys from the factory as well as the original owners manuals. The Negatives: Before I describe them just understand I am putting the car under a microscope !!! There are some downsides to my car and I want to make it very clear so whomever buys this car has no surprises … the front bumper and hood have quite a bunch of stone chips … when I first noticed it a few years ago I considered having both repainted at a very high end shop but they really didn't bother me enough to bring it in. The driver’s side booster is showing some wear but looking at other R8’s this seems to be common. There is a very small blemish on the hood about 3/4" x 1/8" (size of a thumbprint) and a few scratches here and there. There is a very small indent behind the drivers side blade on the lower end maybe the size of a thumb, it is barely noticeable but again this is describing it under a microscope. Overall the paint on this car looks really great, people are always shocked when I tell them it is a 2008 car. Of course there are minor things here and there but nothing that shouldn’t be expected for the year … if anything whomever gets this car will be VERY HAPPY. It is truly an awesome example of a 2008 R8. I have sold many of my cars on eBay and if you review my feedback you will see I take it very seriously and have 100% feedback. Some of the cars I’ve sold here: Acura NSX, BMW 650i, Audi Allroad, a 53 Rolls Royce (my dads) , a Jag XK8 conv, a C6 Corvette, 2 Mazda RX8’s, and more. Reserve: It is VERY REASONABLE !!! Optional Warranty: I purchased a 6 year/ 60,000 mile Platinum Fidelity warranty from my Audi dealer which will expire on December 18, 2020. It has a $ 50. deductible unless you happen to have it serviced at my selling dealer, then there is no deductible. This alone makes this car a huge relief knowing you have it. This is optional and if you are interested the cost will be $1,000 plus there is a small transfer fee you will have to pay I think it is around $100. Funds for purchase: It is imperative you have the funds ready to purchase my car, please do not bid unless you have the dollars ready. All funds must be cleared before I will release the car. Reason for selling: Once sold I am looking to purchase a BMW i8. Disclaimer: this is a used car, I am the type that brings my car to the dealer to have anything I think is wrong corrected but again it is used … it will not be perfect.
