I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that... I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 70+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1999 BMW 323iCA. I would rate the exterior of this BMW to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. This 323 is finished in Titanium Silver over matching Light Gray leather interior and a black soft top. The Silver finish shines nicely for its age and looks smooth all around. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific BMW, the only issue worth specifically disclosing is a rub mark on the RR fender, which should be easily visible in the photos. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors, and trunk all open and close easily. It is also worth noting that the driver's outside door handle does not work. It feels like it is just disconnected inside the door. All of the trim and moldings are present and show well. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in nice rubber with good tread all around. The factory soft top appears to be in great physical condition and shows virtually no wear. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would rate the interior of this BMW to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards show well for their age. The dash and headliner are clean, too. The carpets are thick and full looking throughout the interior. As you can see in the photos, both front seats are worn...which is to be expected in an older convertible with higher miles. The power windows, locks, and mirrors all work properly. The power convertible top does not work. It won't even try...so it is likely a fuse or switch issue. The original radio has been upgraded with an aftermarket CD player. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The trunk is also spacious and clean. Again, please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. Mechanically, this BMW appears to be in good running condition. The 2.5L inline six cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are decent for an older vehicle. The shocks feel spongy to me and are probably old. Additionally, I can feel age in the front control arms...both of which are common age issues. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps proper temperature and feels strong. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with no problems. This E36 will need a little bit of love to be her best, but you have a nice foundation to work with. The body is clean and rust-free. The soft top is in amazing condition. Just catch up some age related maintenance issues and you'll have a super nice car that is getting very, very hard to find.
