2000 BMW 540i Individual Mileage: 78,100 Miles Engine: M62TUB44 V8 Engine Transmission: 5-Speed Automatic Transmission Exterior color: Sepia Violett Exterior (474) Interior: Fueller Leather Interior (M1SW) Options: Fine Wood Trim BMW Individual Trim and Leather BMW Alpine Audio Sound System Heated Seats Automatic Climate Control Rain Sensor Auto-Dimming Rearview Mirror Xenon Headlights White Direction Indicators 17” Style 49 Individual Wheels CD Changer E39: The BMW E39 generation (1997 to 2003 model years) was the pinnacle of the 5 series bench mark. Created by Joji Nagashima, the e39 to this day is considered to be the best 5 series ever created. The handling, looks and amnesties as a complete package has never been replicated not only by BMW but not by any other manufacture. Overview: This Sepia Violett over Sand with Violett Piping Leather 2000 BMW E39 540i is a 1 of 10 color combination with only 78,100 miles. From production numbers this leather interior is a one only to North America, and is completely stock except for a style 32 spare tire, the original spare is included but is badly damage. A local tire shop quoted $500 to repair. As far as I can tell this was the only damage from the 2014 accident. The 540i was originally purchased in Canada and made its way into the United States via Washington State. There 3 enthusiasts took excellent care of this rare e39 before it made its way to me in Colorado. The previous owners took care of many of the service items required of the e39 including; fuel filter, fuel pump, brakes, tires, oil leaks, vanos issues and cooling system issues. Also during this time one of the previous owners went to Dinan and had the company install many of its high end upgrades including, Air intake, Strut Bar, Exhaust, Dinan tune and Dinan Transmission Programing. Once I purchased this individual 540i I took this beast on a cross country road trip where the water pump decided to take a dump in the mountains of Wyoming. At that point I decided to heavily go through the car to make it as perfect as possible. This included a new water pump, thermostat, coolant sensor, radiator, valve covers, intake gaskets, timing guide prevention, pvc seal, replacement fan clutch, rear brakes, new ebrake cables, transmission flush, diff flush, upper control arms, re-balancing of all 4 wheels and pixel replacement of the instrument cluster. Cosmetically the 540i is in good condition but there are 3 dents of less than a 1/8 inch and a few scratches on the rear bumper that have been touched up. The last few months of driving this 540i have been absolutely rewarding. The Rolls Royce style interior mated to the suspension of a E39 M5 is a combination that all auto markers should have followed. Exterior: The Sepia Violett paint is in good condition. It has clearly been a West Coast car and spared harsh winter conditions. The finish is in excellent condition with the only defects being a couple of door dings. No rust anywhere to be found by my eye. Amazingly, the front and rear bumper covers are crack-free, in early production e39s the front bumper has a tendency to get caught on parking curbs. All trim is present. The headlight and indicator lenses are clear, I do have factory yellow tail lights for states that require them, and crack free. Fog light lenses have been replaced and are crack-free. All glass, including the windshield is crack free and factory BMW. The wheels are straight and true after having all 4 repaired but 3 do have a fair amount of curb rash. The tires are 235 45 fronts and 255 40 rear with almost new tread. The front tires did wear on the out edges because of the failing control arm bushings. The tires are a complete matching set. Interior: The interior is in amazing shape. There are no funky smells and has never been owned by a smoker. The carpet and wool mats are free of any hard stains or rips and will come with brand new set of factory BMW floor mats. The seat leather is fantastic shape, being much more soft and supple to the touch than normal e39 leather. Unfortunately, the middle piping on the driver seat is coming apart. I have not been able to find anyone who can fix the piping in Denver but several shops in California or New York say that is a easy repair they can do. There is no seat twist. The individual sport steering wheel has no excessive wear except for some light fading on the white leather. The instrument cluster, MID and HVAC displays have no failed pixels. There are no check codes or illuminated warning lights. The best part of all, every cup holder front and back do work, but the E39 cup holders are terrible, so user beware. All power functions, seat motors, and seat heaters function like they should. The door lock and window regulators all work. The heater blows warm and the air conditioning blows cold. The fan motor does not chirp and the final stage resistor functions at all blower speeds. There are a few stains on the trunk floor panel and the tool kit is present along with a factory cd changer. As it sits, this is a turn-key 540i ready for its next cars and coffee. Overall I have taken this 540i back to its driving glory days. By the best of my research this is a 1 only North America E39, not another one like it anywhere. I'm selling my individual to purchase an 1 only E39 M Sport and hope with care the next owner can enjoy it as much as I have. I also have 4 e39 M5 parts cars if the buyer would like to add some M parts to the deal. I can be contacted any time about part purchases. This time of year its difficult to keep a car clean in Colorado with all the dirt and slush on the roads, I do not like to bring this car out this time of year. I have kept the 540i garage since purchased.

The car is in brilliant conditions for its age. I have it for nearly 10 years and it was regularly serviced and maintained. No driving during the winter months, so no rust problems. No LPG, no CNG. The engine works perfectly also the automatic transmission. The reason for selling is that I have too many cars and maybe it is time this car to change the owner.I can arrange cheap transport to most of the European countries after the sale - additionally negotiable. CLEAR TITLE CAR TURNS OVER; THERE ISNT NO BATTERY WITH THIS VECHILE! CAR ACTS LIKE ITS GONNA START BUT DIES CHECKING I FOUND WASNT ENOUGHT FUEL IN THE RAIL; THINK ITS JUST A BAD RELAY AND COUPLE COIL PACKS NOT 100% SURE WAS TOLD IT RUNS NEVER GOT THAT FAR WITH IT.. (FIXING IT) BEGING SOLD AS IS DOESNT RUN AS IT SITS! NO BATTERY! CLEAN ON THE INSIDE FOR 1999 MODEL FULLY LOADED SUNROOF ETC. I DONT KNOW THE MILEAGE JUST PUTING WHATS ON THE TITLE
