Prior owner did brakes and tires prior to purchase by current owner in late 2015 about 25,000 miles ago. Current owner preventative maintenance in late 2015 after acquiring included: all drivetrain fluids changed; transmission filter changed plus fluid changed 2x; magnetic drain plugs installed on engine, trans and diff, air-filter changed, brake-fluid changed, cabin air-filter changed; windshield washer system overhauled with new pumps and hoses and nozzles, cooling system overhauled with new expansion tank, new thermostat, all new belts and all cooling and heater hoses replaced, VANOS replaced with rebuilt unit, new alternator, new valve cover gasket, new breather valve, multiple new sensors. New tie-rods. Both front seat-belt latches replaced. Black WeatherTech floor liners under gray carpets; gray WeatherTech cargo liner. Regular oil changes with Mobil1. High quality Continental tires replaced by prior owner and still have plenty of tread, though rears are starting to get more noisy. New BMW battery in January of 2018. Very enjoyable highway car. Regularly drive it from PA to CT or NY and NJ. Have taken to DC and NH as well. Suspension a bit tired but usable (new set of rear springs included but not installed.) Slight buzz sound (from exhaust?) at light throttle around town ever since I've owned it. AM radio does not work. Some minor trim pieces loose around tailgate window. Sunroof works but plastic tracks are tired and don't recommend opening it. Oil seapage from engine pan gasket but no puddles or major leaks. AC is cold, all display pixels work, cruise works, heated seats and steering wheel work. Body has paint chips, minor dings, scrapes and scratches from nearly 20 years of use. Front fenders appear to have been repainted by prior owner. Right-front trim on bumper tweaked from NYC parking garage and piece of tape secures. Leather in good shape. Power sport seats are from a 2003 with wiring harness retained from 1999 seats -- everything works on seats except thigh-bolster adjustment (as no wiring for those in 1999 luxury package). Tailgate replaced with one from later 525i, though car is a 528i. Driver's seatbelt slow to retract (needs encouragement sometimes). Driven multiple times a week all over tri-state area and has been totally reliable, though is an old car and no warranties/guarantees or other expressed or implied. Sold as-is. Still being driven so mileage may go up slightly.

1997 BMW 540i sedan, around 175k miles. Transmission just went out. Car was very very reliable tires are basically still new. Any BMW fans looking for a good car that can be easily fixed. Battery shown is needed as the one i have is dead now.
