Up for sale today is this 2002 BMW Roadster Z3 2.5 convertible. I am selling this on consignment, and she is the second owner of this vehicle. She purchased it from the original owner with the intention of adding some upgrades and keeping it as a convertible for weekend driving, but is now decided to sell it. It has a clear Tennessee title with a good history on it. The body is in pretty good shape for a 2002 - no dents, just some dings and scratches on the hood, and the front bumper cover is scratched up underneath - nothing major. The convertible top moves up and down with no problem, but it does leak on the edge where it meets the driver side window. Some water got in under the headliner and stained it pretty good, so she removed it completely. I do have it, but it will most likely need to be replaced. I see there is a new one on Ebay for about $250. Without the headliner, the edges don't seal well against the windows so it will leak - I have kept the car in the garage for over a month now so as not to take a chance with any water getting in. You turn the key and the engine fires right up, and she drove the car from Tennessee to Atlanta without issue. It's probably about 1,000 miles away from needing an oil change. Tires are in pretty good shape, and the rims look very good. The interior is in OK condition - the leather seats show their age, and there are some tears and missing plastic trim pieces that hold the seat belt in place. The doors are also missing some trim pieces - see photos for details. There is an aftermarket radio installed, but the reception is not great. I'm guessing it's an issue with the antenna. It does have the original factory radio, but it needs to be unlocked, and she said that the dealer can charge up to $100 for this, so she left it as-is. The headlight knob is missing, but you can still pull the outer ring to turn the lights on/off. The power seats work fine. She replaced the brake pads on the rear wheels, but did not install the sensors, so the ABS light is on. She did give me the sensors, but they will need to be installed. The airbag light is also on - she mentioned that she was working on the inside door panels and thinks it might be possible that she might have knocked a side airbag connector loose. I have no way of troubleshooting the issue, so I am selling it as-is. Despite needing a little TLC, this is a nice little roadster and can make someone a very fun and capable little convertible. Very clean 1 Owner clean title car with only minor defects to be expected. The paint is exceptional and has no hazing or clear coat issues! The Z3 has only 65k miles and the interior is smoke free and looks amazing for the age. There are no key scratches or serious damage on car. The front spoiler has some very minor scraping about a inch or so. The windshield has a Hairline crack that doesn’t show in the pics no matter how close I got the camera. The beading around the clear window is off and still looks near new tho. No tears in the seats or top as well. I just drove the Z about 800 miles last weekend with no issues and there are no check engine or service lights illuminated on the dash. Everything works from AC, heated seats to cruise control, power seats and windows. The top is manual and is easy to unlatch from the windshield and let up and down! Tires are new Goodyear’s in the rear and good Michelin’s in the front! Car rolls out great and is very fast and fun to drive!
