Was my grocery shopping car to save miles on my truck until the earthquake struck! I was driving along Vine rd when all of the sudden the car dropped and the airbags deployed. Little did I know that I had made it through a massive earthquake that destroyed the section of road that I was on. Originally purchased it with 57,000 miles on. Car does have a salvage title as their was damage to the rear quarter panel which was fixed. Have had car for almost 11 years. Car needs new tie rod, radiator, brake line, headlight and turn signal to be drive-able. Airbags did deploy. Hello, I am selling this car for my mother. We lost my dad in a accident a little over a year ago. She is driving his car now. She has owned this approximately over 10 years. It has good tires, battery and a new serpentine belt. It is in good condition and drives great. It has a clean car fax. The only negative is when it rains hard sometimes it leaks in the trunk. These cars are one of the most reliable cars GM made with the nearly bullet-proof 3800 Series II V6 engine. With newer cars being a bit more constrictive inside, having way more technology than anyone would ever need (meaning, maintenance nightmares down the road) and priced just way out of whack there is a growing demand for cars of this genre. The early to mid-2000's cars have plenty of modern technology including fuel injection, ABS braking, keyless entry, power seating and other options but they are far more reasonable to buy maintain, insure and register. You will be very impressed with this car, it has never been modified with any 'performance' parts, loud exhaust or hacked in electronics and that's exactly how you want to find one of these. The car is very complete with all keys, remotes (proper '1&2' factory remotes), floor mats, cargo net, spare, jack and tools. Please take the time to review the 90 high-resolution photos below including several of the suspension and undercarriage where you will see that the car retains the original tags and 'chalk markings' on the various components. You will also see that the car has absolutely no corrosion and has not been damaged. The body of the car is straight and is shiny with no paint fade. There are a few blemishes in the finish including some light scratching on the rear bumper cover and a stone chip here or there but no major dents or dings, the car looks just as nice in person as it does in photos. All lights and lenses are in great shape and are functional. Tires are nice with about 75% or better tread life remaining on an evenly worn, matching set of four and the custom alloy wheels show nicely as well, especially after I detailed the rotors and calipers. Glass is nice with no chips, cracks or 'wiper wear', crystal clear all the way around. The interior is very clean with no tobacco, pet or musty odors, only the smell of fresh leather. Aside from a bit of aging on the visors (all intact and even the vanity lights work) the car is very nice. Carpets are clean, the headliner is excellent, door panels are excellent including the wood grain accents and ash-tray doors, etc. The leather is supple and soft showing just minimal wear and aging, please look at the close-ups of the drivers bolster, no wear through, seam separation or discoloration. The dashboards on these cars have an issue that strikes 90% or more of these as the dash pad 'curls' up above the driver's side instruments. This one did have that issue but it has been repaired, while there is no way to perfectly repair this, the dash is all down in it's correct position and is not really noticeable, a dash cover would further perfect the look of it. Most sellers I notice, do not mention this when you can even see in their photos that it is not straight, to me this is not a major issue but wanted to clarify, the interior does show really nicely. Even the 'grain' in the steering wheel is as new and not worn down or smoothed out at all. Everything on the car works, power seating, windows, locks, audio system and A/C are all functional. Mechanically the car is what you would expect from a 44k mile car. The engine is smooth and powerful with no abnormal sounds. The car has not exhibited any leaks, has no overheating issues and it is a really nice driving car down the freeway. You will not need to perform a service for a couple of thousand miles as there is a record inside the windshield that it has been recently done. Also noteworthy is that all the gauges are functional and there are no warning lights on in the dash as you can see in the photo below that I have taken with the car running. If you are in the market for a reliable luxury sedan or you want to replace yours as maybe you have miled it out, had an accident or has corrosion issues, here is your opportunity to own a nice one. Why go buy a new Lacrosse for over $40,000 when for well under $10k you can own a super clean, very low mile and 100% rust free LeSabre? I'm asking $7950 for a very complete, super low-mileage, one owner Buick. I included a snapshot of a couple of the emails I received from Allison Trautman (the Art Director of the Film). I also included a scan of the check I received from "Luff Linn Holdings LLC, An Evening with Beverly Luff Linn" for $800 (8 days of filming). I provided colorful enamel sharpie pens for the cast to sign the interior of my car and graffiti the interior as they wanted once they were done filming, but the production wanted to film my car after the cast was dismissed so that wasn't allowed. I didn't even get a measly piece of paper with some cast signatures. They accidentally left behind some audio cable that is coiled up under the seat, goes under a panel up the side of the car and sticks out behind the visor. I didn't discover it until a month or so after production was completed. This car on it's own is not worth $5000, but as a movie prop I hope there is someone out there that might buy it at this price. I don't just need some cash, I need enough money to purchase a used car I can trust to take on long trips to visit family and friends. This car runs OK, but years ago it stalled and wouldn't start. I had to have it towed to my place where it sat for a few months. I didn't discover why it stalled (the guess was something electrical) but it started back up without any repairs and has been running fine since. I am able to use this car for food shopping and local needs but I don't ever drive it further than I can get it towed back to my home. If you were to buy this car I recommend you do a little "Movie Vacation". Stay at the Eureka Inn, where most of the movie was filmed. Also have a lunch at Bob's Footlongs in Fortuna all the while driving one of the stars of the film,, this "beater" car that is up for auction. After your movie vacation, I would recommend shipping the vehicle back to your home rather then driving it a long distance. I am not offering a hotel night or a hot dog lunch as part of the sale, I just recommend you try those things when you visit. As I stated in the "Condition Description" = Many rust spots. AC, Heater, & vent fan rarely work. Ceiling upholstery falling off. Trunk doesn't lock. Driver seat will bend out of shape. Minor oil leak. Windshield has crack. Currently runs good, but has failed and needed towing in the past. I'm not mechanically inclined so there are likely more downsides to add to this list. The electric windows and electric adjustable driver seat and mirror all work. Please only bid if you have and intend to pay the bid price.
