Copy this link into your browser: you are looking at a good looking, good running 2006 CADILLAC XLR with only 89,300 miles on it. this car was recently traded in and has a free and clear title. this is a bit of a HANDYMAN SPECIAL!! this car has some plus's and minus and i will do my best to tell you what is up with it to the best of my knowledge. the 4.6l v-8 with automatic transmission runs and shifts with no issues. it does have service lights on for traction control and service stabilitrac system. these could be correlated to each other but haven't looked into it. it also with randomly flash light for low coolant but the coolant level is full and does no overheat at all and the heat works without issue. that is probably the coolant level sensor in the overflow bottle. this car will need to be towed and not driven home because the tires are shot. they are dry rotted and the front have tread separation(see video) that cause a vibration over 20 mph. i drove it long enough to test motor and trans but would not travel in it with the tires the way they are now and they could also be what is causing the t/c and stabilitrac codes. it does have a power steering whine when turning but doesn't effect how it actually steers. the exterior as you can see still has a nice shine to it. it does have some lite scratches and chips on it(please watch video and see pictures). wheels are in decent shape but could use a good cleaning. the convertible top doesn't work. when you press button it says rear cargo area isn't closed. i know there are switches for safety to make sure there is nothing in way of where top would go. we have not played with it at all. could be something simple or could be more involved we just dont know. the grill is aftermarket but the factory one is in the trunk if you chose to put it back on. the HID headlights both function. the body is still a very manageable platform to bring this car back to its potential. the interior as you can see needs love, the driver seat is torn to hell and plastic molding on it is busted(not uncommon on GM cars), that plastic is fairly inexpensive. the power to seat does function. the leather passenger seat is in ok shape but could use a good cleaning. overall the interior could use a serious detailing. its just overall very dirty. the touch screen radio/navigation does function as should. heat and a/c controls function and heads-up display is also functioning. the power door open buttons are also working. the trunk release and gas good switches do not. the could be unplugged but you can access both through either the key fob or manually. overall the inside does need some attention but if someone wanted to put the effort into it they would have a nice car. overall this car does need love but the reward to someone could be great. if you look at the book values(included in pictures) you will see the reward potential could be great. some of the clean xlr's ive seen on line are going for over book value. this car will see regardless of price. so if you are looking for a running driving xlr for not a lot of money this very well could be the car for you.
