We are selling a gray 2002 Chevrolet Astro AWD passenger van. The van currently has 115,600 miles. This van is being sold by the 4th owner and was bought in Brooklyn, NY August 2017. The title is clear and with no salvage. Please look at photos and ask for additional photos if necessary. Currently the van runs but is not considered in drive able condition because the engine is in bad condition and needs to be replaced. From the owner:"We brought our van in to a local shop for a coolant leak down test and they gave us a diagnosis that there was an issue with the 6th cylinder being all blocked up and seized. They showed us pictures of blockage and whatnot; so we decided to go with their discretion and put the work into. Once we got the van back after $1800 in repairs it had a knock in the 6th cylinder. Brought it back in and they replaced spark plugs and a few other things and we got our van back. Next thing we know it wasn't holding any oil pressure in the van. We went back to complain about the vehicle and the shop owner says that the engine now needs to be replaced. At this point we had already purchased another van and have now decided we want to sell the van." That being said the van has been sitting for 6 months and is ready to get off the property. The van turns over and runs and drives however once the engine has warmed up the oil pressure goes very low and the knocking of it can be heard. Being sold as-is 7 day auction. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and...  drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 70+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2000 Chevy astro van. I would rate the exterior of this astro van to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with the age and mileage. On this specific astro, there is nothing much to disclose. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory steel wheels show well but one is missing its cover. They are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with good tread all around. Please take your time to check out each of the photos carefully. I would also rate the interior of this astro to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. The cloth seats show well and are soft, supple and very comfortable. The power locks, windows and mirrors all work properly. The climate control system appears to be working properly. The heater blows hot. It has been a little cold to tell wether the air conditioner blows cold or not. The audio system is original and is working properly. Mechanically, this astro van appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.3L V6 engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I haven't noticed any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps good temperature and feels strong. I did get a service AWD light on my test drive. Aside from that, there have been no idiot lights on during my road test. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints.
