This 2006 Chevrolet Astro is from our fleet of 25 vehicles, all of which are being sold as part of the complete liquidation of our datacom and electrical installation and service contracting company. Most of our vehicles are fully upfitted with ladder racks, safety cages, and bins in the back. All were in service daily until February 2019 and 15 of them remain in service until April 1st when we will begin listing the second batch. Please view photos carefully. Any “check engine” or other warnings WILL BE specifically noted along with the specific OBD2 codes responsible. All sales are “as-is” and “where-is” with no warranty expressed nor implied. All odometer readings are accurate. All tires are in serviceable condition. All our vehicles are sold exactly as they come in - they are NOT detailed. This van bought me a condo. I was renting a place for $1200 a month and had to end the rent / broke cycle. I got rid of everything I own except clothes and bought this van on ebay. Check my history, its all on there. I paid $3,250.00. I took a train to Philly and brought her back to the city. I bought a $99 walmart twin size bed and some $20 plastic drawers. I slept in the van, parked at my jobs parking lot and showered at work. Slept at my girls, my families, the van, took some camping trips. In 6 months I saved $14k. I put the 14k on a 100k condo and this van changed my life forever. If you think you love your car imagine living in it for 6 months. I truly love this van, When I closed on my condo I went outside and I kissed this van and hugged her. I said Id never sell it, that Id take it to the grave, but the reality is, Im just not using it. I literally only drive it twice a week to work to avoid street sweeper and a parking ticket. This van needs a damn job. When I bought it, the windshield wiper motor was broken, and it needed some kinda shoe on the bottom. A shop charged me $750 to fix something on the underneath and replace wiper motor. To pass NYC inspection basically I spent another $850. So really this van cost me 4k to put on streets of NY legally. I then added a battery doctor brand battery isolator under the hood, ran some good 4 gauge cable through to the back, and put a second deep cycle battery in the back. From the second battery I ran a tiger claw 3000 watt inverter and then my laptop, ran bunch of lights, fans, chargers, etc. Im leaving the extra battery and the battery doctor isolator / fuse, thats $300 bonus! If this auction goes above $3000.00 Ill add in the tiger claw inverter but not included otherwise. I also put like $100 of insulation in the walls and made window black outs with reflectix. The van still has some issues, but its perfectly drivable, currently registered and inspected in NYC and my daily driver when I have to. It shakes a bit when you brake. This month the check engine light started coming on and going off for no reason. It needs a new driver side mirror, Im just using a bungie cord to hold the existing mirror in cause who cares. AC is not working, heat works only after you get the car really revved up but heat does come on eventually. Radio is broken too, just needs a new radio unit but I know for a fact speakers and wiring work. Only 72k miles! Astro vans go to 300k miles normally. When I bought it had 62k, I only put 10k miles on it in a year and a half. If you put this engine in a crate, anyone would give you $1k for it. Plus transmission works great, same thing, crate it up, worth $. Many Astros have hit 500,000 miles. Chevy Astro and chevy express vans are classic American car that people swear by. I was on Astrosafari.com where I got all my ideas and where I totally recommend to check out and see this same van turned into anything you can imagine. Same thing on astrosafari, anything broken, theres soo much information on there. These vans have cult status. This is a high top conversion van. You can stand up in here. You can fit entire sheets of sheetrock in here. You can fit a queen bed in back. Theres tons of cool features they did in the conversion. When this was new it had a TV, VCR, N64, satellite receiver. Power windows, power locks, power seat with tons of customization and super comfy. Cruise control. This was top of the line luxury high tech in 1999 and over $30k. Its still awesome now honestly. Im only the 3rd owner and this van lived in Philadelphia until me. Thats what dealer who sold it on ebay to me said. That it had 2 owners who lived in a tiny town in Philly and why it was so great condition and low miles. Im putting this on craigslist Bronx too so dont miss out, bid so you get it. If anyone contacts me on here ebay messages or craigslist messages and comes with current bid price in cash, Ill give you a ride around the block. This van is located at Pelham Parkway train stop on the 2 or 5 train. You show me cash, Ill take you on a 10 minute drive, show you she works great and you can drive her home. Done I have the clean title and will sign it over for you plus write out a bill of sale so your all legal. I dont care what price you want to put on paper, so you save on registration fees, transaction fees well call the rest.
