The La Grange (Cook County) Illinois Police Department is offering the following vehicle for sale through eBay auction: Silver 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier 4 door with 58, 315 miles THIS IS A SEIZED/FORFEITED VEHICLE THAT HAS BEEN AWARDED TO THE LA GRANGE POLICE DEPARTMENT BY A JUDICIAL CIVIL PROCESS (CIVIL COURT). WE HOLD THE CLEAR TITLE TO THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE MUST BE SOLD ACCORDING TO ILLINOIS LAW; IT MUST BE SOLD IN AN AUCTION-TYPE SETTING SUCH AS eBAY. THERE IS NO BUY-IT-NOW OPTION. POSITIVES: The vehicle was last driven & run in April 2019. At that time, we let the vehicle run for approximately one hour. After approximately one hour, the coolant leaked out of the reservoir. We have not run the vehicle since. At the time it was started, the vehicle ran and drove well, but will need brakes. The air conditioning and stereo were functioning. We did not check any of the lights/lamps/wipers/horn, etc, so unknown if working. This would be a good vehicle to put a little money into and have for a long time! NEGATIVES: 1. There is crash damage to the D/S (driver's-side) front 1/4 and bumper-see photographs.2. The D/S outer mirror is broken.3. There are several scratches in the roof of the vehicle.4. There are several scratches in the rear bumper of the vehicle.5. There is minor crash damage to the P/S rear 1/4.6. There is the start of a minor rust spot to the P/S front 1/4.7. The two front seats are dirty and have a couple cigarette burns in them.8. The previous owner was a smoker and the vehicle is very dirty.9. The lid/cover is missing from the center console storage area/arm rest.10. As with all the vehicle we offer for sale, we always recommend checking/changing: oil, fluids, brakes, have a tune up, etc.11. The vehicle will need a new battery-the current one is dead.12. The D/S visor is loose.13. Tires appear to be fair to okay condition with a lot of tread left. They are Yokohama P195/70R14.14.
