There has been a ton of labor and money put in this lil truck..... I personally did not build the truck but a very well known shop in the area did and they took their time getting this thing dialed in just right. less than 1,500 miles on the build. Truck starts right up every time, runs straight like its on rails when you get into it! Gets a ton of attention every where I take it, sounds really mean and it's not an easy truck to beat! Super fun truck to drive but I need a few home improvements more than I need it so it's gotta go. Here we have an ultra cool, super low mile 2003 Chevrolet S-10 RPO code Zq-8. If many of you don't know, the Zq-8 trucks were a sport suspension production truck, pretty rare. Factory options included lowered springs and Bilstein shocks all four corners, rear sway bar, and 16" custom wheels. I thought I'd take it one step farther. Below is a description. Exterior: Well, I chose this S-10 to start this build with because it had low mileage, was a one owner truck, picture of the title is below with 187 miles on it from the original owner. Complete extensive strip and refinish was just completed on this truck in May. These were known for paint issues, cracking and fading. Not a spec of rust or damage anywhere. Look at the pictures of the floor and frame below, all original paint under there, perfect. So entire body was completely taken apart, stripped, painted with four coats of Axalta 2K urethane, color sanded, buffed, and reassembled. It is extremely slick, even the bed floor is slick. Look at the close up pictures of the sides below, you can clean your teeth in the mirror finish. SS grille and emblem added. All new lamps, front and rear. New windshield, old one had a crack in it. New solid rear glass, had a slider in it originally. Check out the custom steel wheels I had built specifically for this truck by Wheel Vintiques, 17x7 front and 17x8 rear, finished in a beautiful black powder coat. Custom fabricated center caps also. Tires are Hancook 225/50/17 in the front and 245/50/17 in the rear to give it that staggered look. Interior: Nice light grey interior. Carpet is new, tried to clean the original, wasn't happy with it, so I ordered new from Stock Interiors with the extra insulation option. Very plush and quiet. Dash, headliner, doors panels all look great. Seat sits nice and is clean, has two little prick places, one on the driver's and one on the passenger's. Not much noticable, but I'm picky. While the doors were off during the paint process, I went ahead and replaced the factory speakers with Kicker Audio and installed new pins and bushings. Fresh tint on the windows to top off the whole black out effect. Drivetrain: What can you say about the good old awesome 200 hprsepower Vortec 4.3 liter engine? These engines are dependable way up into the hundreds of thousands of miles. This ome has only 58,000 on it, so it's just getting started. Just changed the oil and added a K&N filter, no leaks, rattles, smoke, warning lights, nothing! Overdrive transmission performs perfectly also. A/c is frigid and the heat will burn you up. New exhaust from engine to tail pipe, catalytic converter and Flowmaster muffler. McGaughey's 2" spindles in front to take it down just a smidge more than factory, 3" Belltech lowered leafs in the rear, sits perfect over the tires, no rubbing, rides great. Original Bilstein shocks and springs still in place. New rotors and pads done while suspension was apart during the lowering process, inner fenders and frame painted chassis black. In closing, this is just a rare, fun all around truck you can drive daily, clean up for a weekend car show, and turn heads where ever you end up. I get complements on it daily. It has been basically restored top to bottom, slick from roof to rocker panels. Fun attention getter, that won't break your wallet. I assure you, this truck can't be built for what reserve is, I will not disclose what that is, bid what you feel it's worth to you. I will however entertain serious offers, but please, no low ballers. We all know what restoration work costs now a days on any kind of vehicle. The entire build of this truck has less than 500 miles on it, so it's really like a brand new S-10. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due at auction's end.
