We are selling our winter “beast” to make room for a new summer toy. A ton of TLC and work has been done to this already solid Tracker since we purchased last summer, but it’s time to make more room in the driveway/garage and move on. Read the details carefully and come with cash. 158,950 miles. Does not burn or use oil. Great for winter, students, camping, whatever. Nice touch screen stereo with bluetooth and 4 speakers. The good:This Tracker is loaded with leather seats, power locks, 4 wheel drive, power steering, A/C*, cruise control, and more. The V6 engine pulls well and never fails to start. The transmission shifts well and has no issues. 4WD works flawlessly. Since last July the following has been done:1.New brakes, including bleed & change fluid2.New alternator3.New plugs4.BRAND NEW TIRES (Firestone Destination A/T, less than 1000 miles on them!)5.Heater door fixed (heat will blast you out)6.All fluids changed, including Oil & Filter last week.7.PCV valve, Air filter, cabin filtersThe not so good:There are a few items remaining to make this vehicle tip-top. I would still dive as-is anywhere. 1.Valve cover gaskets are leaking a little. Few drips under car after a day of sitting. Annoyance and doesn’t leak enough to lower oil level but. May have a wet spot on engine elsewhere.2.Power steering pump is showing signs of weakening. No whine and doesn’t leak but occasionally groans when turning wheel under load/low rpm.3.Small exhaust leak near catalytic converter. Gives it a slight rumble.4.Previous owner pulled wheel (no idea why) and broke the clock spring. I replaced but did not have tool to turn off airbag light. Everything is intact, horn, blinkers and cruise control all work, no collision or airbag deployment, but light is on. I ignored it.5.A/C worked great last summer. Then I found out previous owner broke heater door and didn’t tell me (if you know who he is please send him my way for a chat). This was a big $$ fix, and when they put the dash back together, the A/C stopped working. Most likely a fuse or connection (charge is fine etc.) but I can’t guarantee it. 6.Small area of rust starting to show on passenger rocker panel (see pic). Best tracker I ever seen. It’s mint

Here is the deal. I purchased this figuring to use it at my other house in another state. I really don't want to pull the engine and fix the oil leak at the rear crank seal as I will be parking it on a beach I can't let it leak. I'm willing to take a loss but not below what I have it listed. If it doesn't bring my asking price I'll break down and fix the leak as the rest seems fine. It is rust free and it does drive. Here is the ad from where I bought it out of Georgia: 2000 Chevy Tracker 4X4 runs and drives good. Soft top towing package cold and warm Heat AM FM CD player everything working. New emission. Installed a new battery (it arrived with a lawn mower battery), new dipstick and a door stop for the drivers door is on order. I Replaced an O2 sensor that threw a code. The passenger seat had the rails messed up and wouldn't slide so I replaced the rails with one out of a local salvage yard. Honestly I have not even tried the heat or A/C. I have driven it and it is a driver but I'm old enough to not want to lay under it and fix the leak and I don't want to pay so if you can fix it or you don't care if it leaks you can get a deal. Tires are good and brakes look good plus work good. Runs well when warm but a bit sluggish cold. Being as honest as I can here so bid away.
