There are not many out there that are this clean with a real chrome front suspension (not covers). Always garaged and covered (custom California car cover co cover included). The prowler series was produced from 1997 thru 2002. Initially branded as Plymouth, it was changed to Chrysler in 2001 and 2002. These cars were modeled after the nostalgic 30's Hot Rod look, but with modern dependability and a vehicle able to drive any distance with confidence. This model is very low mileage with only 18,500 miles on the odometer. The original paint is the rare Metallic Orange, 1 of only 689 produced. It's powered by a 3.5L V6 with an automatic transmission. This exceptionally clean Prowler just received a new set of Nitto tires 225/45R 17's on the front and 295/40R 20's on the rear. This gives the car a very aggressive stance and accentuates the Hot Rod look! It also received new powder coating on all 4 rims with new center caps as well. All the brake pads were replaced as well as the calipers. We removed the unsightly factory front bumper and all steering and exposed parts were chrome wrapped. The interior is as clean as you would expect for a 16k mile car, with no undue wear on the drivers bolster, carpets, steering wheel, or shift knob. This is truly a collector quality example and it shows. The chrome on the wheels is bright and fresh and is not marred or pitted, and the tires have plenty of tread. Carfax does show a minor accident in 2004, however the only paintwork I can find on the car is the lower chin spoiler of the front valence, which leads me to believe that the Carfax description of "minor" is an understatement. The top is in immaculate condition and folds and stows properly. The release solenoid for the rear deck is working perfectly as is the roof release lever. Included with the sale are both original keys and their remote fobs, the original manuals, and the original demo CD for the sound system. If you know Prowlers, you can appreciate the rarity of this final year model. If you know cars, you will be able to appreciate the condition as well. Vehicle Description For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a one owner 2002 Chrysler Prowler. Finished in the beautiful Inca Gold over black leather interior. 2002 was the last year of production on the Prowler, they only made 1436 of them, a total of 616 were painted Inca Gold, including 3 test cars. Chrysler designers were given free rein to design a 30s style hot rod roadster to follow up the show stopping Dodge Viper. Chip Foose helped with the design... by drawing up a coupe with similar proportions. Chysler's guys preferred a roadster so they chopped the top off that design and ended up with an open wheel, open top design that has since become immediately recognizable. Chrysler took this all new body design and stuffed in a 3.5 Liter V6 which made comparable power and torque figures to their V8 engines of the time. Power was transferred via a "torque tube" to a rear mounted 4-Speed automatic “AutoStick” transmission which helped with weight distribution. The later cars used an aluminum version of the 3.5L which also helped with weight. The majority of the chassis was aluminum as well to keep the weight down to improve performance both in a straight line and in the twistys. 0-60 mph in less than 6 seconds was no problem as well as a 125+ mph top speed. Handling was also addressed and includes inboard coil over shocks up front with aluminum upper and lower control arms.
