Anybody for an Almost done project truck? 1990 Dodge Dakota V6 5 speed Regular Cab, Short Box. This was a Texas truck so it has minimal rust. She's not new by any stretch, & no power nothing, so if you're looking for creature comforts, you won't find any here. This is the kind of truck you buy for your kid, or for yourself to take your woman out for a Sunday cruise, where she can still sit in the middle of the bench seat and... well, you know. The Good: For sale by registered owner, Clear Kansas Title ready to transfer, clean motor, clean interior, minimal undercarriage rust, trailer hitch so your kid can tote that lawnmower trailer around to make money and pay you back. It has the original keys, and the foam in that wonderful bench seat wasn't ruined by a fat guy. 144,888 original miles. The tailgate opens & shuts (wow)! It ran good when parked approx 6 months ago. It's being sold because I have 7 vehicles and I told I had to make some 'space' in the driveway. The Bad:Was in the process of replacing ball joints, so the parts are in the box on the floorboard, it needs tires, the AC probably doesn't work, The lens on the left turn signal fell off so it's inside with the ball joints, the dash is cracked to hell, there is a rack & pinion leak, there are some small holes in the upholstery on the seat, the left front fender is a different shade of white, & there's a dent on the back by the bumper. The battery is probably dead, but I can buy you a new one if it is. In some of the pictures it has an ugly spare, which has since been replaced by the matching rim, & the ugly spare was tossed into the bed for safe keeping. What else can I tell you about this thing? It's old, well cared for, and needs to find a home where someone can finish what I started. I can't tell you what MPG it gets, but hey, it's 2 wheel drive and small, so it can't really be that bad. Enter the 1989–91 Dodge Dakota Sport convertible, built by Dodge in partnership with the American Sunroof Corporation (ASC). The mid-size Dakota was a great candidate for the conversion, but the anticipated demand was never realized – basically a 'convertible pick-up' was... the answer to a question that the car-buying public never asked. After three years Dodge's contract with ASC was fulfilled – total production was 3,759 units. As a result, this 1990 Dodge Dakota Sport, partially restored back to original, is one of the rarest MOPARS on the planet. The full-body re-spray (2003) is in very good condition and chrome bumpers along with chrome bed rails provide sharp accents. The Dakota sits comfortably on a 15" set of Ultra aluminum wheels with BFGoodrich radial tires. The white convertible top and plastic window wrap neatly around a factory roll bar and are in excellent condition. Its original interior was also refreshed – seats were reupholstered in blue/white vinyl. Dashboard, carpeting and door panels are all nice and a factory AM/FM/Cassette stereo is housed in the dash. Other comfort and safety features include: air conditioning, tinted windows, gauge package, power steering and power disc/drum brakes. The Dodge is powered by a rebuilt (140k) 3.9L V-6 that is stock and puts out 125bhp and 195lb/ft of torque. A 5-speed manual transmission and factory differential back the V-6. Steering is power assisted, power brakes are disc/drum and the suspension is a stock set-up.
