UP FOR NO RESERVE AUCTION IS A 2003 DODGE SPRINTER. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER. IT HAS BEEN A FANTASTIC RELIABLE TRUCK. BUT WITH 285,000 IT NEEDS WORK. FIRST OFF I ALWAYS MAINTAINED IT WELL. ALWAYS CHANGED THE OIL EVERY 5000 MILES NO MATTER WHAT. AND ALWAYS DID TRANS FLUSHES EVERY 30,000 OR SO. IT DOES START A LITTLE HARD AND RUNS GOOD BUT I THNK IT NEEDS A REBUILD OR PISTON RINGS. IT WAS BLOWING OIL OUT OF THE DIPSTICK AND EGR (BYPASSED) AND I REPLACED THE O RING ON THE DIPSTICK AND SEALED THE SHAFT OF THE EGR AND SEEMED TO WORK. IT HAS A EGR EMULATOR AND NEW GLOW PLUGS AND MODULE BUT ONE GOT STUCK IN THE HEAD SO I HAD TO MOUNT IT ON THE HEAD TO COMPLETE CIRCUIT. THE OIL SENSOR IN THE PAN HAS BEEN BAD FOR YEARS SO THE OIL LIGHT IS ON BUT IT HAS GREAT OIL PRESSURE THE WATER SENSOR LIGHT NEEDS TO BE PLUGED IN TO TURN OFF LIGHT. I JUST WAS WAITING TO CHANGE THE FUEL FILTER TO DO IT. I DROVE IT AROUND AND IT RAN GREAT BUT IM SURE ITS NOT RIGHT. THERE IS TO MUCH BLOW BY COMING OUT OF THE CRANK CASE AND I WOULD NOT DRIVE IT FAR. IT HAS BRAND NEW BOSH INJECTORS AND NEW BATTERY AND STARTER. THE TIRES ARE GETTING WORN AND NEWER PADS ON REAR AND NEWER ROTORS AND PADS ON FRONT. BELIEVE IT OR NOT IT WAS ALWAYS GARAGED KEPT AND IS RUSTY BUT NOT REAL BAD AS SOME I HAVE SEEN. THE ONLY RUSTED PART THAT IS THRU IS THE DRVERS ROCKER. THE OTHER SPOTS ARE HEAVY SURFACE RUST. FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND THIS TRUCK IS THE BEST AND MOST RELIABLE AND DESIRABLE OF ALL THE YEARS. IT HAS ALWAYS GOT ME TO JOBS AND HAS NEVER LET ME DOWN!! I HATE TO PART WITH IT EVEN IN THE SHAPE ITS IN BECAUSE THE NEW DIESELS ARE GARBAGE. IF I WHERE TO DRIVE YOU AROUND IN THIS TRUCK YOU WOULD NEVER SUSPECT IT NEEDS WORK IT HAS POWER AND RUNS STRONG AND SHIFTS SMOOTH. IT COULD BE JUST ONE PISTON OR RINGS I JUST DON'T KNOW.
