This 2001 360 Modena (Spider - Convertible) has less than 28k miles and is being sold as-is at a substantial discount. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY IF YOU'RE CONSIDERING PLACING A BID! THERE IS NO RESERVE ON THIS AUCTION; HOWEVER - This car is not in pristine, showroom condition - at least not from my standards. The car will require a bit of TLC to put into pristine condition, and I've outlined as best as I can what I have ascertained the car will require, from my own observation, fellow Ferrari owners, and Ferrari of Tampa Bay. In an effort to be as candid as possible, the following are the issues with the car that may or may not be readily observable from the pictures: The front lower bumper will require painting (the car impacted a small cone at 45 mph which scratched the bumper - no structural damage, but it needs to be painted again). The driver's side interior door handle does not work. The roof does not automatically (by push of button) go up or down. There are minor mechanical issues but it will need new fuse(s) in this regard to function properly. Additionally, if I were keeping the car, I would install a new top as the old one is a bit faded and non-utilitarian. The air conditioner does not work. The car will require a tune up and new fluids (i.e. transmission, oil change, coolant, etc.). I have some (but not all of the service records from the prior owner as well as records while I've had the vehicle (since Sep. 2015). I had a new water pump and fans installed because it was overheating ($6,000+ at Ferrari of Tampa Bay)The air vents on the dash are sticky (common problem) and, in my opinion, should be replaced. There is an existing loan on the car with an approximate payoff of $32,000 with Grow Financial Federal Credit Union, which will need to be paid off prior to title transfer. The sound system will require rewiring and reattachment to the battery by a professional. There are some minor chips and scratched around the car that I would want polished out and/or repainted away. When I acquired the car, the title was clean. Recently running the VIN, it should that the title is "Branded". Ebay does not recognize the VIN number. I believe this is a mistake but you will need to do your own research. The anomaly in the car's history shows an odometer issue from a prior owner (way back). This is apparently common. The car shows just over 27,500 miles and drives and runs as it should. I purchased a yellow tachometer to install (over $300) but did not install it because of this pesky issue with the title. I will include the tach face with the purchase. There is no Ferrari manual and the Ferrari tan briefcase and tool set are not in the best condition or complete. The "Ferrari" script emblem that sat on the rear engine hood is missing from a transport of the car. The VIN is zffyt53b000122602 . That being said, the car is still a Ferrari and turns heads where ever it is being driven (even in Naples where these cars are common). I love the car, but do not have the time to put into this as required by its temperamental character. This car is not an "easy" car to own and I would not recommend it to anyone who isn't an enthusiast or who is not familiar with driving exotics or, say, an American classic muscle car. It requires a lot of maintenance and attention to detail/car. Mechanically, the drive-train is great, the engine runs smoothly and turns over without incident, the transmission shifts either smoothly or aggressively depending on the RPMs you're summoning (in either auto or manual (F1)), it boasts the classic Ferrari howl at higher RPMs, looks great (excepting the cosmetic issues stated above) and turns heads. I installed the carbon fiber rear spoiler vent two years ago ($1,200 OEM part) and replaced the broken yellow center wheel caps with Ferrari red caps. No accidents. No hidden "secrets" that I haven't discussed above. The car drives fine but I can tell it needs a tune up as it has sat for too long and too often. I put less than 1,500 miles on the car since I acquired it. Please message me with questions. I will try to answer them as quickly as I can. I posted this car previously but the successful bidder never messaged me and never paid, obviously, and this happened despite me answering hundreds of messages. This is a great bargain - no, it's not off the showroom or a fancy auction, but it will be tough to fine a Ferrari of this generation or newer at this price with repairs less than or around $10,000 (this is my estimate to bring everything in mint condition and mechanically flawless and robust - it may be less, it may be more, but that's what I had budgeted if I had elected to keep it).
