2005 FORD Explorer XLT-- automatic 4wd, 4wd high (on the fly), 4 wheel drive low (must shift into when car is stopped)I am the second owner. Bought this from a dealer in 2011 -it had over 72,000 miles then. it has had a few road trips from Upstate NY to Florida and Virginia, but not has been driven much in the last 3 years. I retired a few months ago and just can not justify keeping this vehicle. Last year I only drove it 500 miles. This SUV has great flexibility- I forgot it has 3rd row seating because I never used it. Most of the time it had the back down and was used for its space. The tailgate lift works which is handy if you need to haul a 2 X 10 piece of lumber.It just passed NYS inspection which includes tires, brakes, and exhaust emissions. I had the oil changed even though it looked clean. It has rear ac. This is a must for long trips especially if you have dogs. If you are seriously allergic to dogs this is probably not the vehicle for you. Weathertech Mats and liners since the day I bought it.Yes this does have the towing package. I have never towed a trailer with this but have pulled a few cars out from ditches:) Over the years it has been repaired when needed. The usual brakes, muffler, had a rear wheel bearing replaced a few years ago. I have all of the mechanical receipts since I bought it and that will go with the vehicle. Also I will include all owner manuals and a Chilton reference book. The 4 wheel drive works both high and low. The tires still have plenty of tread left. The body has minor surface rust in certain spots. The frame is solid. Please inspect in person or ask me to take photos of what you want to see. Right now the radio is acting strange. It works than may not work again after you stop the car. I bought a replacement used radio for the same model year. That comes with the car. There is also a slight crack in the trim under the tailgate. No idea how that happened but it has been that way for years. I posted a picture of this. The car is 14 years old. It is not perfect but is in good shape and ready for the bad weather right around the corner. Please do not bid unless you are ready to purchase the car. If you have never bought anything on Ebay before- please educate yourself how the process works. I am happy to explain things but I do not want you to be surprised that you are expected to buy if you place a winning bid. NYS title transfer requires a buyer to have an insurance binder before title can change hands, I have to provide a bill of sale and title and hand in my plates at the time of transfer. In the past this required a trip to the local NYS motor vehicle office. I will go with you and help out as best I can. Remember I am not a car dealer. Just a man with one to many cars :) If you want this shipped please work out the details and cost. Note the lien (auto loan) on this car was paid off years ago, I never updated the title certificate because they charge a fee. This is done when the car is sold.
