1997 was the last year for this body style for the F-250. This was also the last year for the 460 cu. in. motor. I purchased this truck new in 1998. It has lived in North Idaho in a heated garage since new (see Reznor heaters in pics). It has been babied and well loved. Never raced. Never abused. I have done most of the maintenance myself. It has dual gas tanks (37.5 Gals) with locking gas caps. It has 4.10 ratio limited slip axle, camper package, and off road package. 1997 Ford F250 Crew Cab 7.3 Diesel 4x4 Auto Short Bed Truck IS FOR SALE LOCALLY. If someone purchases the truck prior to this auction ending, the listing will end. A backstory on the truck. It’s a Southern California truck it’s whole life and was originally bought in Camarillo. The last twenty one years of its life it lived in either Ventura or Camarillo. Frame does have surface rust from the moisture in the air, but nothing ridiculous compared to what salt does. Was a farm truck. Have spare parts such as the tail gate and bumper. Mechanically great, exterior will need some loving. No major mechanical issues.Interior is in decent shape with rips or tears in driver seats.Dependable truck that will take you and not have to worry about scratching it.Deposit is non-refundable. Truck runs and drives and hauls with plenty of power. Truck has the ability to tow heavy loads without issue, mini hoes, skid steers, machinery and equipment. Very good condition low miles (99,000) diesel F250, E4OD automatic, mechanically excellent, interior is excellent (well, as excellent as a brown interior can be), some minor rust on the rockers and fenders. No rust at all on tailgate and doors. No leaks, no blow by. This truck has been gently used and very well maintained. Pictures tell the story and you can see a video of a cold start by copying and pasting the Youtube link below.I added a Sony Bluetooth receiver and relocated the tailgate handle to the inside using the kit from LMC truck, if that's not to your liking I can easily reverse it.The only thing wrong with the truck is that the AC does not work. I suspect it's the compressor but I never cared enough to look into it; the vent windows were fine for me. Heater works great!This is the last year of the International IDI and I really wish I could keep it, but another has project has fallen into my lap so this has to go. I thought I might get away with making this my daily driver, but picking up your hot date in an old International diesel is a tough sell.Block heater works great, this truck has never failed to start in a Chicago winter but keep it plugged in!Happy to answer any questions.
