NOTICE: AutoCheck has bad info. Please see CarFax photos & description below Here is my 1st baby, a beautiful two owner 2004 Saleen S281 Mustang. I purchased it with 49.5k miles in July or August of 2013. It currently has under 56,000 miles, never being used as a daily driver, at least since I have owned it. As a Mechanical Engineer, I took meticulous care of the care both in maintenance and period correct parts and authentic accessories, even the hard to find ones. The car is original with a rear Saleen license frame, (4) Stainless/brass plated "S" tire valve stem caps and NOS "S281" Fender Badges. The original floor mats and Saleen seats are also included. The left wheels are in excellent condition without curb rash, but were previously refurbished (painted) before I owed it. You cant tell it is painted except both wheels have paint peeling from inside the lug area. The original Saleen printed serpentine belt and pulley are also on the car. I will also include an Authentic Saleen car cover. It is used, (~5 years old, in good to fair condition). I attempted to wash it and the washing machine ripped it in a couple spots, but it is still usable and could be repaired with some patches. This car is original and un-molested and runs perfectly. There are a few minor rock chips you would expect from a car with ~56K miles, most of which have been professionally touched up. One of the center caps is missing, fell off on a recent drive. Saleen is working on reproducing them. Even though paint is a 6.5/10, from 10 feet away, it looks like a show car and is a real head turner. Two years ago, Sept. 2016, I invested around $4k into the car for minor restorations @ Bulldog Rod & Custom in Exton, PA. The driver seat has new foam, front seats were redyed and look brand new. I replaced the faux leather Shift boot and e-brake boot with charcoal Italian leather. The original stitching was falling apart, but I still have it, and will be in the trunk. Currently, there is a professionally installed Kenwood Excelon head unit in the car with bluetooth streaming & handsfree installed plus the original radio will be included. Some other items done at this time and since then: Front wheel liners, L&R replaced with OEM Ford Trunk gas springs replacedNew Front Brake Pads (~500miles since)NOS Saleen Wheel replaced front right wheel.
