I have driven it cross country twice within the past year including summer drives through mountain areas with no issues at all. The truck rides great and is very solid, handles very well, and stops very good regardless of weather conditions. Really a great truck to drive and is extremely comfortable around town. The Heated leather seats are in excellent condition (Drivers seat has minor cracking along edge) and the rubber lined cargo area is very nice for hauling items. The safety features on this truck include all of the most important items such as Dual Front and Side airbags for front and rear passengers (Side airbags were not standard on the H3 until 2008). Also, this truck has stability control which works extremely well when it gets icy in the winter. The included trailer tow package with electronic brake controller is very nice for hauling a boat or snowmobiles and the off road “Adventure” package allows you to get through the deepest snow and mud even pulling a trailer. *******This Hummer has the factory “Adventure” Off-Road Package!!!******* Be aware that MANY DEALERS on Craigslist and Ebay mistakenly advertise their Hummer H3 vehicles as having the Adventure off-road package, however most do not. ONLY Hummer H3 vehicles with the locking differential button on the dash (Shown in last image) have the Adventure off-road package. The Adventure off-road package includes a heavy duty 4:1 transfer case (Same as Jeep Rubicon) with locking center differential (4.56 Gear Ratio) and electronic Eaton locking rear differentials (Activated with button on dash) larger tires and skid plates. Along with its eye-catching looks, the 2008 Hummer H3 provides a surprisingly competent drive both on-road and off. And that's the idea; the smaller Hummer H3 has all the brand's signature styling cues -- the industrial grille, the massive wheel flares, the armored car-style windows -- that make these life-size Tonka trucks so appealing to so many consumers.But the whole point of the H3, and the reason why it's Hummer's best-selling model, is that it's much more reasonable in terms of size and cost. The H3 is a little more than half the cost of the H2, and it's easier to park as well. Off-road, the H3 can still rock with the best of them. With its aggressive approach and departure angles, generous ground clearance, standard skid plates and optional 33-inch off-road tires, there's no denying the H3's extreme capabilities on rugged terrain. Hard-core off-road enthusiasts can even opt for a 4:1 low-range gearing that allows the H3 to creep down very steep trails without using the brakes.However, the smaller H3 also carries on another unfortunate Hummer tradition: a heavy curb weight. But there are better overall midsize SUVs out there.
