I bought this car through a private party two years ago as a commuter vehicle. I have since changed jobs and don't need a commuter vehicle anymore. For being almost 20 years old, the car is in great shape. It has a couple "sticky" buttons that should be expected for a 20 year old car but none of these affect the day to day use. The oil was changed every 5k miles and the tires were rotated every 10k since I've owned it. I have the car fax report from before I bought the vehicle which shows the vehicle had all of it's regular maintenance done. The gentleman before me, the second owner, changed out the tires, shocks, speakers, and added LED running lights. The car has Potenza RE92s and Gaz GT9-5260 shocks. It also has a grid charger. The dash shows that the car has averaged 55.6 mpg over its lifespan, and throughout my use it has averaged well above that. I've had it up to as high as 73.3 mpg for one tank and 99.6 mpg on one trip to and from work. You can contact me for more pictures but please also reference the video links below that show the car turning on and all the windows and a/c working, etc. as best as I could illustrate. - Carter https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-RIwaxONoO8 (ignition/car start) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8S8WvQAU5I (walk around) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s9VPu6HDPd4 (air conditioning/heater) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oonz1VaROSA (motor assist functioning)

All aluminum, ultimate high MPG hybrid vehicle. Old MPG EPA rating was 61 city/70 highway/65 combined. Since I've owned it, I've averaged 62.5 MPG. Used as a daily driver (55 highway miles round trip). Mechanically very sound. Lots of newer parts. 52k miles ago the following parts/improvements were made with receipts: rebuilt engine, new cylinder head, new radiator, new timing chain, serpentine belt, clutch slave cylinder, both catalytic converters and O2 sensors. New windshield in 2013 with wet seat belt fix on pass side. Within the last 3k miles I replaced the passenger side lock actuator, passenger side wiper linkage bushing, transmission oil, brake master cylinder, front calipers, rear wheel cylinders, rear cylinder brake pipes, flushed brake system, brake pads, repaired rear motor mount and replaced exhaust bolt springs. OEM radio, but upgraded Kenwood door speakers. No check engine, IMA or other warning lights and good IMA battery that's been maintained with a Hybrid Automotive grid charger that will be included with the purchase of this car. Lifetime MPG: 56.6. 12V battery 2 years old. Cleaned headlight lens with HID Projector lens. All 4 tires are Bridgestone RE92's and have good tread. A/C works and blows cold. The only reason I am selling it is because I bought a newer, lower mileage Insight. My roommate is currently driving it, so mileage will increase. The only known issues are 2nd gear downshift grinds, but always stays in gear. If you double clutch down to 2nd, it will not grind. And there is a small oil leak from what appears to be the rear main seal. I just check the oil weekly and add accordingly. Otherwise, it is a solid running car. If I get some time, I will replace the rear main seal and transmission with one that does not grind. I have both parts, but just haven't had the time to do the job yet and neither are truly necessary for daily operation. Unfortunately I do not have a mileage or date of IMA battery replacement for the 2000. Based on the AutoCheck, documentation I do have, the fact the battery had a 10 year warranty (8-12 year lifespan) and the current strength of the 2000 IMA battery compared to my 5 year old 2003 IMA battery, my best estimate is that the IMA battery was most likely replaced between these two dates/mileage:05/05/2012OH184,000 Independent Emission SourceFAILED EMISSION INSPECTION09/07/2012STREETSBORO, OH189,137 Motor Vehicle Dept.TITLE (Title #:4302439688)It certainly could have been earlier, but generally speaking, the only things that generally cause these cars to fail emissions is the IMA battery and/or catalytic converters.
