I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that...I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 70+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2003 Jaguar X-Type 2.5L Sport. I would rate the exterior of this X-Type to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a beautiful sedan. It is finished in BRG over Parchment leather interior, which is a stunning color combination. The dark green finish has a mile deep shine and looks smooth all around. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific Jag, there is a scrape visible around the LR wheel opening and there is a small piece missing from the center of the rear spoiler (it looks as if a previous owner used the same spot in the spoiler to close the boot over and over...it's a shame Jaguar didn't provide a handle to close the boot lid, or a brain for that person to borrow). Aside from that, she shows pretty well. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. All of the trim and moldings are present and show well. There is a small crack in the front windshield, maybe 6" long. The only other thing I need to point out is that there is visible rust through on the left rocker at the front. It took me a while to notice it because of where it is, and you won't be able to see it in the photos, but it is there. The alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in nice rubber with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would also rate the interior of this Jaguar to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean, too. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. The deeply bolstered leather seats come as a part of the factory sport package and are very comfortable. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors, and sunroof all work properly. Wood accents throughout the interior remind you that you're driving a Jaguar and give the interior a cozy feel. The audio system is original and sounds good through the factory speakers. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. It is to cold to confirm that the air conditioner is cooling effectively but I can tell you that the heater is working well. The trunk is spacious and clean. Again, please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. Mechanically, this Jaguar appears to be in good running condition. The 2.5L V6 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good overall. My only complaint would be a noticeable vibration in the steering up around highway speeds. However, the suspension and steering feel tight and well sorted. Braking feels good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. When this Jaguar came in, the check engine light was on with a lean code and a couple of misfire codes. However, I have not experienced anything like that while driving so I cleared the codes in case someone at the auction just ran it out of gas (that has happened before). The engine makes great power and loves to rev. This is a fun, fun car to drive. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with zero issues. The AWD system is tested and working properly. These are very capable vehicles. They use a very simple AWD system, which makes these things tough as nails. In addition to giving you the confidence to venture out during inclement weather, Jaguar AWD aids dry road grip and performance, too. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
