You're bidding on a used, excellent condition Mazda 1994 RX-7 (the best years for RX-7s were 1993-95). It is a twin-turbo with a Wankel rotary engine. The car has a little over 65,000 miles, all driven by a single owner. It was never driven outside California (San Diego to Agora, basically; so no snow, etc). It was always kept in a garage, and used only on weekends (not a daily commuter). Recently re-done: new headlights were installed about 3 years ago, a new battery and hoses were installed last year; this year, OEM body panels and paint (it had a few dings and dents on some body panels; the car was never in an accident), new wheels and tires, new windshield (old one had a crack), new leather interior (the stock, yellow vinyl didn't look so good––with Dynamat placed when seats were out to reduce road noise), and new custom carpeting and matts were installed. As you can see from the photos, the car is exceptionally clean, both inside and out. A/C works well, all upkeep was done at local Mazda dealership in Huntington Beach, CA. This same dealership checked out the car and found everything to be in excellent condition. Title is in hand. Aside from the original, sole owner adding a turbo timer (which runs engine for 90 sec after shut-off to cool down turbos; this is adjustable), no modifications were done to the engine. The original owner stopped driving the car last fall, and the car remained unused in the garage until it was restored. (The battery was kept trickled charged during the few months of disuse.) The original owner developed pneumonia over the holidays and passed and the end of January. I inherited the car and subsequently did the above restoration. The car has clean title and with the new license tags for California, a smog test was done. The car easily passed the stringent California smog requirements. The car is covered (gotta keep the dust off), and staying in my garage until sold. I drive it a few miles each weekend to keep it in shape. This auction is open to USA only. This vehicle has been meticulously maintained and upgraded by Rotary Performance in Garland, TX. A rare automatic transmission model (only 14 vintage red were made in 1994) a collectors item turning 25 years old in 2019. A new Mazda factory engine and engine harness was recently installed, dashboard electronics have also been replaced, and a new factory speedometer/odometer. The odometer shows the new engine milage (221 miles), chassis has 87,000 miles. Transmission, powertrain, adjustable suspension, cooling system, air intake, brakes, wheels, sound system, exhaust system and oil pan have all been replaced, upgraded and/or installed recently. The rally stripe is a decal, it can be easily removed if so desired. Beautiful Mazda RX-7, True barn find! This is a 3 owner, zero accidents, clear title all original car. Probably one of the cleanest original ones out there. This has been inside a barn for the last 13 years and needed a few things to make it road worthy: Full EBC Brakes, New Toyo R888 tires, Color matched OEM rx7 Wheels to body, NGK plugs & wires, vacuum lines/check valves, Fresh oil/filters, Oem Mazda oil cooler lines, oem radiator hoses, oem brake master cylinder,Interstate deep cycle battery. All have less than 100 miles since being installed. Power windows, lights, cd/radio, heater, cigarette lighter, gauges, wipers it all works great! Engine has had a rebuild at some time in its life, the block is painted blue and is believed to have been rebuilt in the early 00’s from Atkins Rotary (Eatonville,WA) I contacted them and was told they had stopped doing that around that era. They cannot confirm not deny its rebuild...Transmission shifts great with zero issues! Car has zero smoke on start up or with any kind of rpm’s. Has a small exhaust leak but nothing major. Clearcoat is peeling on rear bumper a bit (pictured) but not bad at all & rear spoiler has a bit of peeling like bumper (normal for its age) the drivers seat has a bit of wear on edge (as seen in picture) Message me with any questions I’m happy to answer for you! Here we have an extremely rare RX7 GTU. This is the lightweight version with the VIN letter "L" confirming it's GTU option status. We purchased this amazing car from a wonderful friend of ours who was the original owner. She purchased it brand new and took impeccable care of this phenomenal vehicle until health issues forced her to stop driving a few years later. She then had to put it into storage where it has rested until we were fortunate enough to obtain it. This is the reason why it has such extremely low miles... an unbelievable 7,267! This RX-7 of the highest quality.The carpet on this RX-7 still has the shine and deep black color it originated with. Of course it runs and drives like brand new, it even has the original tires it came with! She has power mirrors, A/C, Power brakes but no ABS, Manual windows, and of course Beautiful Cloth seats. These RX7's are considered a coupe, but the back glass pops open like a hatchback. There is only one issue with this amazing vehicle and is easily remedied, when she was in storage the inside of the storage unit was painted. They put a cover over it, but the rear bumper was exposed at some point so there is some over spray that could be removed. We do not know a reliable detail shop so have been reluctant to have it done. We have been able to remove some of it by hand with a cloth and some buffing compound from the store to be sure it could be removed, but thought it would be best left to professionals. That being said, it does come off and left no residual marks on the paint.
