Selling my beloved Mazda RX8. I love this car and really don't want to sell it but it's rarely driven (I work at home and drive my Ford Expedition most of the time) and would like to get a project car to restore. I purchased this car in November of 2014 with 29,800 miles, it now has 65,800 miles. Attributes: - GT Model - Fully loaded (Does not have navigation though) - Extremely reliable - Has always started, never missed a beat - great for long trips - Blast to drive, like a street legal go-kart - Always adult driven (I'm 56) - never abused, raced, drifted, etc... - Maintained per dealers manual - Under 5,000 miles on new tires purchased in 2017 - Completely STOCK, no enhancements...Car is fast enough and handles great - Perfect black leather interior, although some minor cracking on driver's side seat - New battery in 2016 - Recent oil change - Always garaged / covered when outside in the sun - headlights perfect - no fogging or glazing of lenses - Wheels - Stock Mazda RX8 / Minor chips reflective of age but no significant rash Other: Overall amazing shape for an almost 9 year old car...a few rock chips on front grill area but NO door dings.. I always take the end spot and have worked hard to protect the car from the elements.. Accident history - I was lightly rear-ended in 2014 about a month after I bought the car. It was very minor and no structural damage but the body shop chose to replace the rear bumper. They also removed/repainted the front bumper as I was pushed into the car in front of me.. The repair work is flawless and matches perfectly. I'm located just West of downtown Austin, TX in the Lake Travis / Lakeway area. Thank you for looking !

This is a rare RX8 for how well it runs, for no engine issues, for the color (have seen only one like this in 12 years, mystic phantom blue) and for how it has been taken care and used properly. CONDITION It is I think in very good conditions despite a dent and scratches on the front bumper Dent - someone gently hit the fender near the passenger read wheel and did bend the chassis without scratching it. I was asked $300 to fix it. Scratches - the front bumper on the left side is scratched with residual of yellow paint from the wall near the broken left indicator ($35 the indicator) ENGINE HISTORY no malfunctions, no issues, no flooding. This is the second generation rx8, they solved issue of engine failure and flooding for rx8 2006 and beyond. Be aware of high rate of engine failures for models 2004-2005. Engine is original and runs great, keep the minimum at or less than 750rpm stable. RX8 got a bad reputation that does not deserve (maybe because of the 2004-2005 models), or maybe i was just lucky or I treated in the right way!Always used premium gasoline. Always did rev up the engine without overdoing it but never shy either. The rotary needs to run at high rpm.Pictures shows 1500rpm on engine just started (see temp) and another one with warm engine and 800-75-rpm (see temp)see video for how smooth is the engine - this is a jewel.The cold air intakes enhance the engine noise and provides few more hp (they say 4-5).Transmission is in excellent conditions. I have been driving manual transmission only my entire driver-life. UPGRADE 1. MAZDASPEED cold air intake 2. MAZDA SPEED sport suspension upgrade (lowered 1 and 1/2 inch) 3. MAZDA SPEED sway bars (front and rear) The sport suspension and sway bars give to this car a much better handling than stock. A lot of fun to take turns with this car and increased safety as well. The car is much more stiff in the turns but not as much on bumps. 4. Thank Lid aluminium color 5. MAZDA SPEED Gear knob 6. iPOD connector7. SPORT AXIS gray wheel 8. DUNLOP WINTER TIRES WINTERSPORT D4 (2,000 miles on it) this car with winter tires behaves better than SUVs and 4 wheel drive cars that do have regular all seaons tires and believe they can go anywhere. it has all the electronics and balance, just need winter tires! it is amazing with winter tires. this car without winter tires cannot get out of the garage if there is a little snow!! ;-) 9. WHEEL LOCKS ADDITIONAL I sell the car with the following accessories:1. original thank lid with the same color of chassis (see pic)2. original gear knob 3. original wheels 4. full set of all seasons tires (see pic) I think you can use for 1 more year max. 5. splash guards (see pic) 6. left side skirt (see pic) 7. 2 bottles of liquid to clean the cold air intake (see pic)8. new fenders in chrome (see pic) never had time to replace them. the original one still on the car are plastic and got ugly! 9. touch paint (see pic)10. jack (see pic)11. blue car cover (water proof, uv proof, with windproof straps and anti-theft lock)12. battery tender/charger13. professional lug wrench ($80) with its case where to store it. MAINTENANCE performed the suggested maintenance and services at mazda dealership (have still all the invoices)engine supports have been replaced as suggested by mazda. These supports cushion the engine which is protected from the vibration coming from the road and extend the life of the engine. Besides regular/suggested maintenance the following are the only repairs/issue I had 1. replaced the driver and passenger side visors (typical issue of the mazda RX8)2. replaced AC belt 3. replaced 1 (of the 3) engine oil cooler line (used mishimoto after market, much better than original and excellent price $80-120) This is the only maintenance done to a local garage not to have the car towed!4. replaced rear oxygen sensor5. replaced the clutch cylinder (at around 100,000 miles)6. new battery and battery terminals PAYMENT preferred payment methods are wire transfer or cashier's check

This is my fun-as-hell Mazda RX8. It runs and drives great. I always used pre-mix as did the previous owner. The work I have done:- new Bilsteiin rear shocks- new tires (less that 500 miles)- some vacuum lines and minor stuff chasing engine codes.- I will give it a fresh oil/filter change before it sellsPrevious owner:- Coil packs, wires & plugs (about 5k on them)- Intake & exhaustThings it could use:- front bumper- passenger airbag light is on- heat is very weak- if I were keeping this next on my list would be a cold air intake. Aside from the dash cracks around the passenger airbag the rest of the interior is beautiful. The car runs strong and like the previous owner I've always kept the oil fresh and used premium gas w/ premix. It has the NAV system but no disk.If you have any questions please ask. Up for sale is my incredible 2004 Mazda RX-8 four door sports car. This is the most fun car I've ever driven. Car runs strong and is very fast. This is one of the most practical sports cars ever made with rear suicide doors and rear bucket seats that hold two adult-sized humans. Car is automatic with paddle shifters (the best of both worlds in my opinion).The steering is super tight and precise, the seats are low and cocoon you, and the sound of the engine past 4k RPM's (this is a high-reving car) is something you've got to hear to believe - and this is with the stock exhaust. In fact, everything is stock, no mods.Grand Touring + Appearance Kit means-Pop-up Navigation-Front, rear, and side flares-Leather Seats-Seat Heaters-Upgraded suspension (my goodness this suspension is perfection!)-All recalls recently performed at Robberson Mazda of Bend-ECU flashed with latest software-Brand new radiator installed 10/15/18-Clean CarfaxCar is in excellent condition and well-maintained with minimal wear, but there are some scratches and small bumps here and there as to be expected from a car from 2004.
