My uncle bought this car used in 2012 for $6,000. My father inherited it from his brother in 2014, and I have now inherited it from my father. He stopped driving it in September of 2016, and it has been sitting outside since then, although I have moved it twice: once last fall and again this past July. Had to be jumped both times. I tried to drip charge the battery, and I think that messed up its polarity or something, because the last time I tried to jump start the car it would not start, and the horn honked for a sec. Also I took out a fuse for the starter to prevent it from being driven after my father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, and maybe I put it back wrong, or something. I don't think so, but full disclosure.When I moved it in July, which was a very short distance down the road, it seemed fine. So if you put a new battery in, I imagine it could be driven away. My dad took it in to be inspected right before he stopped driving it, and the guy did some work on the exhaust system, I think, and said it still needed electrical work. He said there was nothing "actually" wrong with the car, but he couldn't pass it without another $200 in electrical work. I can connect you with that mechanic if you like, and meanwhile I will be looking for the paperwork from that. The odometer is not lighting up, but it has not been driven any distance since it got back from that mechanic in Westfield which is within 20 miles, and when it was there it was at 109,505 miles. I tacked on another 100 miles for the listing, but it's less. It's pretty mildewy inside. I haven't moved it within range of an outlet in order to vacuum it. I think there is some problem with the hood release lever in the cab but I can't remember for sure. I haven't let the hood slam shut all the way just in case. So the way it is now is it's released, but latched, and can be unlatched at the front of the hood. In summary it looks like it needs a new battery, and $200 electrical work to pass inspection (but another mechanic might be gentler about that part). I do not know whether you will be able to start it and drive it away with a new battery or not. Buyer is responsible for picking up.
