Selling my long time pride and joy, my built 99 Mitsubishi Eclipes GSX A/T 1G 6bolt swap. this car is very rear and hard to come by in this color and model. I really wish I had the time to finish this car off. But sadly I have other things that needs attention first. I have tons of thousands into this car, it just needs a few little more final touches to be completed. Heres what’s done Stroked 4g63 (2.3) Full 6 bolt swap Full built block/head Manley rods Wisco pistons (gapped at .022) All ACL bearings (clearance to 0026) lose, I run thick oil. All ARP hardware Cometic MLS head gasket Fully machined head and block (line hone, bore, surface, vat etc) Kelford 280 cams Dual valve springs Adjustable cam gears Powered coated valve cover and top intercooler pipe Balance shaft removal kit a/c power steering both were kept (this was going to be my nice/fast DD) All new belts except for A/c belt. I didn’t get one for it yet, but it’s all there just need belt. 2g throttle body inlet, 2g turbo exhaust manifold 20g turbo Custom intercooler piping all the way 2.5 Huge Xspower intercooler Aeromotive FPR kit and lines/fittings 1g CAS sensor and rewiring Built 2g auto transmission Kiggly 2g A/T trans kit to fit 6 bolt motor Kiggly clutch packs High pressure A/T mod Huge Transmission external cooler Lucus 1000cc injectors Walbro fuel pump AEM 5bar Map sensor AEM EMS v1 AEM WIDEBAND Oil gauge Custom turbo oil line and fittings Full 3” turbo downpipe back to muffler (forgot which brand) NGK plus A/T Shift box transmission controller Probably forgot some stuff, oh well. Now, for the bad, I bought a rebuilt AEM v1 from streetlightz years ago and it never worked correctly to begin with, I even sent it back to get “repaired twice”. (my lesion learned, don’t buy used refurbished electronics). It would sometimes flicker the efi relay on and off with engine running or not, and when cold the aem would go nuts sometimes going from 500-6500rpm when engine is off, eventually, the aem unit finally gave out and didn’t want to work anymore (I think I kind of got mad and disassemble the sucker and messed it up lol) you can still log everything and see the unit working, but when you try to start it now, it would go nuts reading the cam and crank signal. I mean, it can even be as easy as a damn 1g cas going bad, but im done messing and spending money on this car so someone else can play with it. Before all this, the beginning of this year I drove it and did a few quick pulls and it did great, everything worked as should for the exception that whenever it wanted to die, it dies, and you’d have to hit or move the damn AEM box to work again. It also doesn’t die like it lost crank/cam, No, it dies as if you shut off the key, losing power to the whole aem, BUT, when that happens you can check the power supplys going to the unit and all positive/neg relay outputs/inputs still has power, the box itself shuts off. That’s how I know it’s the box and not the car. The damn box wont work/start now, it will just let you crank and see what’s going on in the AEM unit. Long story short, I bought this car in near mint factory condition with a seized motor, started to modify it and went crazy. Never had a change to enjoy it, just little drives around the block as it always had that issue stated above, sometime it takes a few mins to die, sometimes it doesn’t die. Since it sat outside most of it’s life when I had it, the cars condition is not the greatest, the head liner is starting to sag and has rips, the airbag cover on the pass side is now starting to peel on one corner, ive always kept a sun reflector visor over the dash so the dash is perfect. The interior has zero tears and rips. The trunk is missing the carpet. Car has Zero rust issues. Drive side tire does not hold air well. The tops clear coat is now dead from Oklahoma sun. starter signal needs to be on a relay, I didn’t get that far just yet as im done with the car. Everything else not mention works well, lights, signal, windows/locks sunroof etc. Clean and clear title in hand. Tags long out of date lol, every state other than Oklahoma will pay 200 in back fees. Just being honest. J I’ve explained this car best to my knowledge, so if I missed something ask me and I’ll answer it. Lastly, to end the long story, simply put a new stand along in this car, and you’ll have a bad ass nice daily. If it doesn’t sell. PART OUT SOON. MY DAMN LOST IS YOUR GAIN.
