2001 Mitsubishi Montero XLS SUV 4wd- 151155. Miles- excellent condition -Drive Anywhere! -Just Passed easily California Smog Teast-Current Tags Good till December 2019. I have owned this truck since late 2009 it has been dealer maintained for the major service, I have the paperwork to show this service. It runs on Mid Grade Fuel honest 20 mpg on the highway. This mileage is because of a Cat Back Free Flow exhaust system I installed at time of purchase. As you see in the photos the clear coat on the paint is coming off, the hood and roof. -no wreaks that I know of- no rust- a west coast vehicle. All features work and most important the 4wd, I had the hubs re-built at the 140100 mi. It has Goodyear Wrangler tires around that same time, also a 4 wheel alignment. Drives real smooth, It uses very little oil between changes, I use Castrol High mileage Oil and the truck likes it. A new Sears Die Hard Gold Battery was installed at 150000. The air works extremely well along with the heater, as stated it has heated seats. Has a newer AM-FM-CD player works excellent. Interior is also excellent with no rips or tears but a couple of stains, factory carpet mats are present with rubber mats on top. Major service was done by the local dealer- at 118356 a major tune up was performed-at 129551 a major service we performed- the Timing Belt-Idler pulleys-Water pump-Hoses Belts, etc. At that time it was discovered to have a cracked LH exhaust manifold it was replace at 129572. Soon after that I had a Service Engine Lite and it stated the Cat Converter was bad so it to was replaced at the 129894- I have all the paperwork on these services. No other major issues since these with thousands of trouble free miles left. I have owned this SUV for 9 years it has served me well, I bought a new vehicle a while back, and do not use this Montero that much, so it is time to say goodbye. Overall this has been a very good vehicle, I have driven it out of state several times plus several trips up north, it is roomy and comfortable to drive, and as stated if you drive smoothly it will get 20mpg on the highway on mid grade fuel. If you are looking for this kind of vehicle you should consider this one, it will drive anywhere, no need to ship it! I maintain all my vehicles well, and believe that if you treat your vehicle well it will treat you well. As you see in the photos the clear coat on the paint is coming off, the hood and roof. -no wreaks that I know of- no rust- a west coast vehicle. All features work and most important the 4wd, I had the hubs re-built at the 140100 mi. It has Goodyear Wrangler tires around that same time, also a 4 wheel alignment. Drives real smooth, It uses very little oil between changes, I use Castrol High mileage Oil and the truck likes it. A new Sears Die Hard Gold Battery was installed at 150000. The air works extremely well along with the heater, as stated it has heated seats. Has a newer AM-FM-CD player works excellent. Interior is also excellent with no rips or tears but a couple of stains, factory carpet mats are present with rubber mats on top. Major service was done by the local dealer- at 118356 a major tune up was performed-at 129551 a major service we performed- the Timing Belt-Idler pulleys-Water pump-Hoses Belts, etc. At that time it was discovered to have a cracked LH exhaust manifold it was replace at 129572. Soon after that I had a Service Engine Lite and it stated the Cat Converter was bad so it to was replaced at the 129894- I have all the paperwork on these services. No other major issues since these with thousands of trouble free miles left. I have owned this SUV for 9 years it has served me well, I bought a new vehicle a while back, and do not use this Montero that much, so it is time to say goodbye. Overall this has been a very good vehicle, I have driven it out of state several times plus several trips up north, it is roomy and comfortable to drive, and as stated if you drive smoothly it will get 20mpg on the highway on mid grade fuel. If you are looking for this kind of vehicle you should consider this one, it will drive anywhere, no need to ship it! I maintain all my vehicles well, and believe that if you treat your vehicle well it will treat you well.
