Up for sale is a rare 2005 Saab 9-2X Aero which is the wagon version of the standard Subaru WRX. It is a luxury version of WRX with a sunroof, leather seats and heated seats that WRX lack of and with a stiffer suspension and a quicker steering of STI. It features the same 227-hp, 2.0-liter turbocharged flat-four, five-speed manual, and all-wheel-drive system as the WRX but it attacks the road with quicker steering and a retuned suspension. Saab stiffened the steering-gear mounting for better feedback and response, pitched the WRX's standard rack in favor of the rally-bred sti's, which lowers the ratio from 16.5:1 to 15.0:1. The Subaru's strut suspension was reworked with firmer springs, softer dampers, 10mm-shorter rear bump stops, and stiffer front control-arm bushings. In addition, 1.8mm of toe-in was dialed into the front wheels for better on-center feel and straight-line stability. I bought this Saab last year and only put 3,000 miles on it since I only drive it in winter as my winter car. Selling due to moving out of country for job in Spring. Car comes with 16” Subaru 10 spoke alloy wheels with brand new snow tires (12/32”) (only 3000 miles on them). Also comes with a full size spare tire Bridgestone BLIZZAK snow tire 205/60R16 (since it’s AWD I don’t feel comfortable driving donut spare tire if flats). The donut spare tire will also include. Since I bought the car, I have performed - - Synthetic oil changed - Rear brake and rotor replacement - - Brake fluid flushed - - Installed front splash shields and Cabin Air Filter - - Added Rally Armor Basic Mud Flaps - - New battery in November 2018 I plan to replace the timing belts at 105K miles (as recommended in the maintenance schedule) so I have bought all the parts for it but unfortunately selling the car now before it’s due so they will include in the sale for the next owner to perform. Parts include - - 1 gal Subaru SOA868V9210 Long Life Coolant - - COMPANY23 CAM LOCK TOOL to make the timing belt changing easier ($55) - - Aisin TKF004 Engine Timing Belt Kit With Water Pump ($260). Aisin receives a better review Gate timing belt kits so I chose Aisin because the parts are made in Japan not China as Gate - - Gate thermostat The car run great with no mechanical issue. AC blows ice cold. Heater seats work great. All windows work. Sunroof works. No leak anywhere. The airbag and front lower control arms recalls were performed in December 2018. I do take care of my car. There are some small issues that I want to point out (mostly cosmetics). The starter motor makes noise when starting but the car starts fine. Never have issue starting it. The exterior paints on the left doors faded. The hood has several tree saps (I assumed) and the paint there not as good neither. The leather on passenger’s door shows some discoloration. The clock doesn’t work. No major issues here. I have a clear title in hand. No accident. I will no longer drive the car (I have 2 other cars) so the mileage will not go up but I will start and drive in the neighborhood from time to time to make sure it's running properly.
