Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that...I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 70+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1998 Saturn SL2. I would rate the exterior of this Saturn to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking sedan. It is finished in Gold over Black interior. The finish shines nicely and looks smooth all around. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this SL2, there is some clear coat peeling here and there. You should be able to see this in the photos. Aside from that, the exterior shows well. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well. Tire tread is on the thin side all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would rate the interior of this Saturn to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash is clean and the headliner is sagging, as you can see in the photos. This is common for an old Saturn...and nothing a few thumb tacks or staples won't take care of. The carpets show well for their age and are full looking throughout the interior. The seats are clean, comfortable and show minimal wear. The power windows, locks and mirrors all work properly. The stereo is original and sounds good through the factory speakers. The climate control system also appears to be working properly. It's too cold to confirm that the air conditioner is cooling effectively but I can tell you that the heater works well. The trunk is spacious and clean. Mechanically, this Saturn appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 1.9L DOHC engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older vehicle. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. The check engine light was on when this Saturn came in. The code present is for a vehicle speed sensor. That probably has everything to do with why the speedometer does not work. Despite not knowing how fast you're going, this Saturn drives nicely for an older vehicle. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with zero issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. Back when these were plentiful, I used to buy and sell these by the dozen. Now, they're very hard to find. What I like about these cars is that they're virtually indestructible. First, they're made of plastic...so most things simply bounce right off. They're also very reliable. The 1.9L DOHC engine is one of the most robust engines I've ever come across. These things take beating after beating after beating and still run. When something does break, they're one of the cheapest cars to fix. I used to always say there was nothing that went wrong with these cars that would cost me more than $200 to fix. On top of all that, they get well over 30mpg highway. If you're looking for a reliable and economical vehicle, any twin cam Saturn would make an excellent choice. If you choose to pick up the vehicle yourself, you would have to take care of your own temporary plates. We do not provide any, nor do we help you in obtaining them. Payment Information: If you are the winning bidder/buyer, you must contact us within 24 hours of winning the auction or getting invoice to set up payment arrangements. We do add 149 document fee to every car we sell. We require a 500 dollars non-refundable deposit within twenty-four (24) hours. This deposit can be made through PayPal to fellyNY at gmail.com (Paypal deposit is used to place a hold on the car, it will be refunded back to PayPal, ones the car is Paid in full. Usually this is done within 1-2 days after the car is paid in full). In the alternative, you can make your deposit Cash in person or Bank wire transfer. If the deposit is not received within the required time frame and alternative arrangements were not made, we reserve the right to make the vehicle available for sale to another buyer. The remaining balance is due within 5 calendar days of making the deposit. We reserve the right to keep your deposit and resell the vehicle to another buyer if final payment is not received within 5 calendar days. As final payment for the vehicle, we will accept a certified bank check, bank loan check, wire transfer, or cash. We will not release the vehicle and/or title until funds clear. If you pay cash, you can pick up the vehicle immediately. If you pay by wire transfer the vehicle will be available for pickup once funds are available in our account. If you pay by bank check, you will have to wait nine (9) business days until the funds clear.8. Title Information: Vehicle titles may be held by banks or lenders as collateral for loans. In some cases there is a delay in receiving the original paper Title after the vehicle is paid off. While we usually have all titles in our possession at the time of sale, there are occasions where we may have to wait for them to arrive. It may take anywhere from 3 to 7 business days for us to receive the title.9. Bidder’s Age: You must be 18 years of age or older to bid/purchase.10. Storage Terms: Once the auction/sale completed, we will store the vehicle free of charge for six (6) calendar days and at 20 dollars per day after that until the payment is made in full.
