Vehicle Description Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that... I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 60+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1997 Toyota Celica GT convertible with just 109k miles. This Celica shows well for its age and mileage...but isn't perfect. Like most older Toyotas that are finished in red, there are spots that are faded from age. Additionally, there are several spots where the clear coat is peeling. Please take your time and look very carefully at the photos. That being said, the body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The convertible top appears to be in good condition and is fully intact. The factory alloy wheels aren't perfect but are acceptable for their age. Tire tread is average, at best. Again, please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would also rate the interior of this Celica GT to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. The leather trimmed sport seats show well for their age and are comfortable. The rear windows do not work, but the front windows work fine. The power locks and mirrors also work properly. The power convertible top raises and lowers easily with the touch of a button. The audio system is original and sounds good through the factory speakers. The climate control system also appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The trunk is spacious and clean. Again, please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. Mechanically, this Celica appears to be in good running and driving condition. The Celica is based off the Camry so it is virtually indestructible. The 2.2L engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older vehicle. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good. If I'm being picky, you can feel a slight vibration in the brakes...but nothing bad. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. The check engine light is on, but the code is just an EGR code so nothing major. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with zero issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. With just 109k miles, this Celica is barely broken in. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
