Selling this hard to find Nugget Yellow 1991 Volkswagen Cabriolet with a clean CARFAX and 116,200 miles. This car was purchased from an older couple that purchased it from their neighbors. The car has a very nice new 2-stage paint job in it’s original color and it also has a new top and windshield. The wheels are newly refurbished “snowflakes” and the tires are also brand new. The interior is in good overall condition with no major tears or worn spots. The headliner is clean and has one very small tear. The carpeting is in excellent shape. Mechanically the the car runs, shifts and drives excellent. The transmission was replaced with a VW mechanic rebuilt unit - due to a bad syncro. The clutch and flywheel were also replaced and all of the shifter bushings are new. The front hub bearings were both replaced and the brakes and rotors were recently replaced. The timing belt had been recently done and new plugs were installed. The a/c had been converted to 134a, was charged and blew cold. All the gauges work as they should and a new radio and antenna were installed. Like all of the vehicles I sell - this is not a PROJECT and I try to accurately represent their condition. 1993 VW KARMAN CABRIOLET WE RECENTLY OBTAINED THE CAR WITH INTENTIONS OF RESTORING IT BUT MY WIFE HAS INHERITED HER LATE FATHERS CAR AND DECIDED TO RESTORE THAT ONE INSTEAD. THE CABRIOLET HAS SAT FOR 4 YEARS AFTER THE FUEL PUMP FAILED AND WE HAVE NOT ATTEMPTED TO DO ANY REPAIRS TO GET IT RUNNING. ADDITIONAL ISSUES OF VISUAL INSPECTION WOULD INCLUDE , PARKING BRAKE IS FREE BUT CAN NOT PULL STEERING WHEEL DRY ROT, WINDSHIELD CRACKED, FRONT BUMPER COVER IS LOOSE, PASSENGERS DOOR MISSING MOLDING ALONG WITH DENT, FRONT RIGHT FENDER HAS DENT ON TOP AND TOUCH UP PAINT ON IT, SURFACE RUST ON THE WINDSHIELD WIPER PILLAR , INTERIOR IS RUFF DRIVERS SEAT ESPECIALLY (SEE PICTURE) NO RADIO. ENGINE HAS ALOT OF OIL FROM LEAKING VALVE COVER GASKET. THE TOP IS IN GOOD SHAPE NO TEARS AND WORKS FINE . AS MENTIONED BEFORE WE HAVE NOT DONE ANTHING TO THE CAR BUT HAD IT TOWED TO THE HOUSE SO NOT SURE OF ANYTHING MECHANICALLY BUT FRAME AND BODY SEEM PRETTY SOLID AND WOULD MAKE A NICE PROJECT OR EXCELLENT PARTS CAR.
