Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that...I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 70+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2008 Volkswagen EOS Komfort with the desirable six speed manual transmission. I would rate the exterior of this EOS to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a beautiful convertible. It is finished in Thunder Blue over Gray leather interior, which is a good color combination. The dark blue finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. However, you'd be hard pressed to find anything worth complaining about as you walk around the exterior of this EOS. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this EOS came in. Pride in ownership shows throughout this Volkswagen. I would rate the interior of this EOS to also be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The leather is pulling a little at the top of the door cards, which is common at this age. The dash and headliner are clean. The carpets are full looking throughout the interior and show well. Both front seats are heated. The leather seats are clean, comfortable and show virtually no wear. The power windows, locks, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The convertible top does not retract into the trunk. When you press the button, a message comes up and says there is an error. I don't know enough about these cars to speculate on what the issue is, but I have a feeling it's a simple sensor because nothing happens...it doesn't even try. The audio system is original and sounds good through the factory speakers. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The trunk is spacious and clean. Again, pride in ownership shows throughout this EOS. Please check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this Volkswagen came in. Mechanically, this EOS appears to be in good running and driving condition. The turbocharged 2.0L engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. The turbo spools up quickly and brings smooth power all the way to redline. It is worth noting that this EOS idles perfectly quiet. The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip or chatter. Gear changes through the six speed manual transmission are clean and precise, as they should be. This EOS is an absolute pleasure to drive. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. This specific example comes as a fresh NEW VW TRADE and is complete with a full set of factory floor mats, three keys, the original owner's manual, and the original window sticker. If you're looking for a fun convertible that is an absolute blast to drive, this six speed EOS should be at the top of your list. It has good miles, is in great condition, and has a current PA safety and emissions inspection good through the end of July, 2019. All you should have to do it take it to a garage with a scan tool capable of reading body codes and they should be able to tell you exactly what is keeping the top from opening in a matter of minutes.
