I'm sad to be selling this beautiful van. This is a 1990 Vanagon Multivan Westfalia. I've owned it for a couple of years and it has been very reliable and is so fun to drive. Here are some other details on the van: · 2.1-liter water-cooled four-cylinder engine with good compression· 4-speed manual transmission· rear-wheel drive, rack and pinion steering, power-assisted brakes, and front and rear independent suspension· new Fiamma F45S awning · very good paint and body condition (the few small scratches will wax out – I just haven’t dealt with it)· chassis solid and no rust; clean interior· low miles -- 136,592· CD Player and custom Infinity surround speakers· Maintenance records going back a few owners, including everything in the last two years· Oregon DEQ cleared· Clean title in hand A&P Specialties tell me this is a “very nice van” and that the rear breaks and front suspension are the main things to address to ensure continued smooth operation. It has recently been treated... to new Bilstein shocks at all 4 corners; and, as a tasteful upgrade over the standard steel wheels, a set of Mercedes-Benz "E-class style" aluminum wheels with new Sumitomo radial tires were installed at all 4 corners. The cloth seats are plenty comfortable, and have good life left in them, with the cloth showing few signs of wear after 27 years! The van was originally owned by a disabled person and they used it to take him to doctor's appointments. There are no wheelchair marks on the van from loading and unloading the wheelchair. The second owner was the teacher who was a member of the Volkswagen Club. He took the van to many a car show. He had the engine redone and truly loved this van; his wife wanted a smaller car so he sold his van to me. He cried when giving me the keys. I have maintained it but only drove it occasionally. It's been garaged and covered always. It's never been out of California. It's never been camping. It's never been used for business, just normal driving. A truly rare find.
