This is my wife's vehicle, but we are selling it because we just replaced it with a Mercedes convertible. It has mostly Hwy mileage, a lot of that was due to trips from the gulf coast up to Tennessee to visit family. Everything works great and the only known issue is with working the power door locks with the FOB. May just be low battery. The exterior ICE WHITE paint looks great and shines bright in the sunlight! The body is in great shape. This C70 T5 is powered by a 2.5L I5 engine putting out 223 horsepower. Acceleration wont be an issue in this great looking hard top convertible. Factory 17" wheels are great shape and tires still have a lot of thread on them. One of the best features is that this is a convertible! The hard-top can be raised or lowered in just a matter of moments with the push of a button. The interior is CALCITE CREAM leather upholstery. The leather seats are very comfortable, but do have cracks due to being in the sun. The leather steering wheel features cruise and audio controls so you wont have to take your hands off the wheel to get all your favorite music. The Dynaudio Sound system has AM/FM stereo with six-disc in-dash CD player, eight speakers, and subwoofer. It sounds great and you will enjoy playing all your favorite tunes on the way to work or out for a drive. The dual zone electronic climate control will be great for you and your passengers because it enables everyone to stay comfortable no matter what the temperature is outside. In the model year 2001-2002, Volvo made 2,619 C70 Coupe's. The prior model year's, 2000-2001, 4,447 C70 Coupe's were built. After 2002, there were no C70 Coupe's made, only C70 convertibles. Volvo stopped C70 convertible production in 2005. After that, only convertible hardtops were produced starting in 2006. Here's a link to the Wikipedia page about the Volvo C70. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volvo_C70 From 1998 to 2002 one engine option for the C70 was the 5 cylinder 2.3-liter High-pressure Turbo (HT) that produced 240 (237) horse-power. There were other engine options but not with the high pressure turbo. The only engine that produced more horse-power was the 2003 to 2004 convertible at 250 (247)horse-power. All this information makes me think that the 2002 C70 HT Coupe is a hard to find car. That is the car I'm selling here on eBay. This is one of those hard to find Volvo Sports Cars in very good condition. It isn't perfect but it runs and drives very well. The 2.3 Liter turbo has power to spare. Combine that with upgraded IPD torsion stabilizers, front and rear and it handles like a true sports car. Hard cornering under power feels like it is glued to the road. Passing another car is simple and fast. I bought this car from a dealer March 3, 2016, with 124,902 miles on the speedometer. I've had it for 3 years. I immediately changed the timing belt with the full kit, belt, bearings, and water pump, flushed the transmission and flashed the computers at a Volvo dealer in Denver Colorado. It was showing some signs of hard shifting and I changed the B4 servo cover from IPD on the transmission and that solved that problem. And I put new tires all the way around, B.F.Goodrich Sport 2. It comes with an extra set of mud and snow tires. The custom Koenig wheels came with the car when I purchased it. One of the wheels had a little wobble and I replace that with the same wheel. I also upgraded the skid plate to the IPD all aluminum one. The drivers and passenger seats were showing some wear and I replaced the original leatherette covers with new OEM covers. There have been other minor maintenance issues like oil changes and minor wear and tear, a new battery, a new drivers side window, and lock switch, a new oil seal on the turbo. The brake master cylinder has been just replaced. The brakes are good. I have a complete set of maintenance and upgrade receipts since I've owned the car. The air conditioning blows cold in the summer and hot in the winter and it has very nice heated seats. Sunroof works as it should but I never use it. The not so good: There is a small dent on the passenger door under the trim. The front tow hook cover is missing because there is a crack in the air dam right there. There is a very minor dent in the hood about the size of a quarter where someone bumped it breaking the hood latch. The hood latch has been fixed but not the dent. The new seat covers do not match the color of the rear seat but it is close. The cruise control works but the accelerate switch does not. The window tint on the rear window needs replacing. I have 3 other Volvo's and a Jeep Cherokee. I don't need 5 cars and my wife is starting to holler. I recently bought a 2004 Volvo S60R, 6 speed 300 HP All Wheel Drive and that's my new hotrod. Oh, and it is fire engine red, irresistible. But I have to say that the C70 is much faster off the line. I need 4 doors and the all wheel drive is pretty important where I live. I was a little skeptical about buying a car with a manual transmission but I've grown to enjoy shifting once again. It has also slowed me down as it takes longer to go through the gears. Probably a good thing at my age.
