I am not a dealer. I am a private owner. Clear title. The car runs and drives but is not safe to drive until it's fixed because it loses power and stalls. My mechanic states that from the OBD code he believes there's a burned/shorted wire but he was not sure of the location. My car alarm was going off when I was out of town and the local police department zapped it with Safe-Stop and shorted something in the process, so it's a matter of tracing the wires to find out which one (or ones) they burned. Apparently it's legal for law enforcement to break a $16,000 car and leave a law abiding citizen stuck with the aftermath. Ask me if I'm bitter! I don't have $350/hour to hand to Volvo to do in 5 hours what I know only takes all of 5 minutes. The fuses, valves, fuel injection and battery have all been tested. I did not have the sensor on the fuel tank tested due to its location and of course the amount of time they claim it takes to find it, even though we all know 2 minutes on the lift is all it takes. Honestly I didn't see the benefit of leaving the car there any longer. Crooks! The body has couple of dings and dents from road debris, me backing into visible objects that even a blind person could see and general use. The antenna is broken because unlike normal people I forget to do things like turn the radio off while going through the carwash - I replaced the antenna 4 times before I finally had it wired for satellite. The same dealership that jerked me around on the repair had a nice lowball offer for a trade in. I wasn't happy with the offer, so I did my own research and my asking price is an average between the dealership offer and Kelly Blue Book valuation. The car is basically a mechanics dream, sadly. I guess I'll get a moped. I am asking 2k firm. Local pick up only. I will meet you in the Police parking lot...... ironically, not the same department responsible for the damage. As for the loans/liens history, the car was repossessed from the original owner. Current tile is clear. I paid cash for the car.

For sale: 2007 Volvo S40. Starts and runs 100%. Leather seats, sunroof and aux jack. AC, power windows and locks all work. Check engine light is on P0171. So this will need fixed for inspection. Does not affect the performance but will need corrected to pass emissions. Spark plugs have been replaced along with MAF and breather hose but still shows the check engine light. Title is clean. Selling car under garage keepers lien to recoup bill not paid by customer. Buyer may title vehicle in their name if desired. Engine cylinder head has been removed for inspection and has not been reinstalled. Engine ran prior to disassembly but was overheating due to leaking head gasket.
