The early-mid 2000 Volvos ALL have poor insulation on the wiring. The Volvo specialist spent time re-soldering and wrapping all the connections in the engine harness. However, he wants to replace all of the wiring before moving further.-Has 'Check Engine' VVT code for new oil solenoids. Can not tease out why it is throwing this code. Checked most everything out. Volvo mechanic thinks it is probably related to the wiring harness issue.-Engine computer may need replaced. Again, related to the wiring harness issues. Selling my 2002 volvo v70 xc will need a motor or cylinder head work. was diagnose with low compression on cylinder #3 due to burnt valves. new fuel injectors and coil packs was gonna fix it but lost interest in the project. transmission and awd works good. paint in good shape with just minor scratches typical of a vehicle of this age. tires still in good shape thread around 70% no cracks. ac and heat works and all power options work good. selling as is.

Purchased used from Volvo dealership in Oct. 2006 with 65,000 miles on it, and has been well maintained by a shop specializing on Volvo's ever since. Runs great, but has some cosmetic wear and tear as expected (see pictures). Wear is most noticed on the exterior black rubber trim (restoration products can improve), the steering wheel (cover can be applied), driver seat seam (can be re-sewn), and rear door locks need to be opened manually. This is a reliable wagon with classic European styling and handling. It also has Volvo roof racks with 2 Volvo bike holders, and a Draw-Tite hitch that was added only a few years ago.On Dec-28-18 at 12:23:46 PST, seller added the following information: I was just informed that the driver side seat heater recently stopped working. I'm guessing that it could be the fuse or a loose connection.
