I purchased the vehicle last year to use as a weekend driver and also to work put additional upgrades, such as an off-road suspension and to be able to take it on the trails in the future. The reason for the sale is because several weeks ago, I came across another VehiCROSS with very low miles that I could not resist purchasing, so now I don't have room to keep 3 of them. The Isuzu VehiCROSS was imported into the US between 1999 and 2001, with a total of 4,153 being imported. The 1999 Astral Silver is the most common color, however, there were only a total 1,021 made. Originally when it was released, It won multiple international Rallies, including the Australian Safari Rally. The original MSRP on the vehicle was about $30,000. Twice as much as a Jeep Wrangler at the time. In the states we received the all-time 4wd Torque on Demand (TOD) drivetrain. The TOD system is a mix of an electromagnetic multi-plate clutch (which is located in the transfer case), a computerized control unit, front and rear speed sensors, and a throttle position sensor that monitors engine output and a little witchcraft that in basic terms keeps the slipping wheels from slipping and gripping wheels gripping.
